Geminus East Chicago Early Learning Academy

Geminus East Chicago Early Learning Academy is a school located at 1401 East 144th Street in East Chicago, Indiana, United States. As a member of Regional Care Group Serving Indiana Families, Geminus is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our neighbors. We provide social services to children and families, including early childhood education, family services, and preventative programs in Northwest and Northern Indiana.

Our main goal is to build resiliency across generations while providing comprehensive care that supports our clients’ well-being. We offer a variety of services, including Head Start, to connect families to quality care and support. Additionally, our family service programs help strengthen families, reduce domestic violence, and provide critical social service resources to support children and families.

Geminus also focuses on prevention services, promoting mental health and reducing substance misuse through evidence-based strategies. We work with youth, adults, agencies, and communities across the state to educate about reducing or preventing the use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. We also facilitate mental health and substance misuse coalitions such as the Northwest Indiana Suicide Prevention Council and SAFE for Lake County.

In addition to our programs and services, Geminus is committed to addressing the emerging needs of area families. We recently held a groundbreaking for a new Head Start facility in Porter County, addressing early childhood education needs in the area. We also host events like the Provider Fair at Purdue Northwest to help those in need find resources.
