"Mostly old building. Most students are litter bugs. Faculty is good, some great."
"I recently completed my Master of Public Safety Administration from Calumet College of Saint Joseph ("CCSJ"). I reside in the City of Chicago. CCSJ is located in Whiting, Indiana which is a suburb of Hammond near the Indiana/Illinois border. CCSJ is a private, Catholic institution. The sports teams are members of the NAIA governing organization. Allow me to begin by stating that the administration treats students as assets and not as a burden. I've always said that colleges and universities need to stop acting as if they are doing students a favor by letting them attend their respective institutions. Students are essentially customers who are paying a great deal of money for job training. I'm not sending a child off to college for play time. I'm sending a child to college to obtain the skills necessary to become a contributing member of society. Administrations need to realize this as do the individual professors. If a student is struggling or not grasping the material then the faculty member needs to help said student - that's the point. Students are customers. I've encountered faculty members who think that students should be honored to be enrolled in their classes. That's nonsense. So what's the point of my diatribe? You don't have that elitist attitude here. Dare I say the administration and faculty at CCSJ treat students as family. If you are struggling they will get you help. They work with you throughout the application process, advisement, etc. CCSJ also offers online courses via the ZOOM platform as well as off campus courses as needed. CCSJ has made arrangements for classes in downtown Chicago and Chicago Heights. I can only speak to my program. The content was excellent. The instructors were terrific and many are practitioners in their respective fields. Day and evening classes are offered. CCSJ was my first choice for a MS. Southern Illinois (Carbondale) was my second choice. Both schools are great. Recommended."
"Calumet College of St. Joseph has made my transition back to college great. The Coordinator of Public Safety Program Jaqueline Cruz and Professors are dedicated to our learning experience/achievements. They truly put their students first and I will recommend them anytime."
"Great School! Completed my under-grad and I didn’t want to stop. In the process now of completing grad-school and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you CCSJ."
"Great school, where you succeed as a student but also as an individual! Professors are always willing to help you, and they want you to be ready for your work life!"
