"I haven't eaten from the cafeteria yet, so the quality of the food will not show up in my review. This school is not very good. I don't know if I don't like it because I moved here, but I hate this school. The teachers do not take proper action when students misbehave, the teachers assign too much homework, and they do not teach the material necessary for the student's future. The only good thing about this school is the band. The band director doesn't just teach, but he interacts and helps the students (he is just egg-scellant). I would not recommend this school."
"I came to Grimmer from 2013-2017 and let me tell you, I HATED IT! It was the worst 4 years of my life! Stress was everywhere! First off, the Drop off and Pick Up system, is terrible! I remember walking around the school for 4 minutes in 13 degree freezing weather, just to get inside the building! I did get sick! The tutoring program is garbage! There are only 2 teachers helping 24 students trying to get their grades up and I remember walking out crying because the teachers wouldn't try to help me, and I was failing and was just trying to get my grade up. I remember teachers failing me and not caring about me! Teachers teach in a way you completely don't understand! Teachers just want to see students fail! Teachers assigned way to much homework and I remember spending 2 hours doing homework only to have marked all wrong for no reason! Some teachers were nice and helped make my 4 miserable years a little better, but most of my teachers hated me, didn't care about me and just failed me. I got 3 three detentions while I was here! One for speed walking in the hallways, One for being late once, and one for talking about my dog that passed away. It was completely unnecessary! I was unnecessarily drug tested 8 times during 7th and 8th grade, and they would always say I was randomly selected, when I knew that clearly wasn't the case! After Drug Testing, I would have already missed lunch! I remember having my grade at a B for 3 days and then having dropped to an F and taking 2 weeks just to get it up. Sometimes I just gave up. Mr. Runyan was one of the best teachers I had at Grimmer! He would help me raise my grade when It fell and make my life easier. RIP Mr. Runyan :( The cafeteria food here is trash! Chips are 75 Cents for like 7 chips in a bag and I also found maggots inside the Cheeseburgers! Disgusting! I remember seeing kids being bullied in the hallways and locker rooms. I was also beaten in the locker room in April of 2017 and November of 2014, no one did anything! If you plan on coming to Grimmer, good luck! Get ready to have to worst four years of your life!"
"Was here for a wrestling tournament and it was absolutely the worst tournament I've ever attended. 2 mats 5 Schools, no organization, poor time keeping, the list goes on. The event took 2hrs longer then an organized school. The clock was always running after ref blew whistle, incompetence is an understatement for the entire day. The bathrooms were so nasty the risk of legionairs disease was a strong possibly. The concessions served a half frozen pretzel and white hotdogs. So all the reviews about the food and cafeterias here are true from what i experienced. Glad my children do not attend this school. There is no exaggeration I have never seen bathrooms in a condition like this. Apparently the janitor was off on Saturday or this is what the kids have to endure all school year. Just nasty mold that was thriving on the urine /water soaked floor. This was obviously like this from the school week, because at 8am Saturday it was destroyed. Bathrooms are beyond cleaning, gutting and remodel are needed obviously due to years of neglect. You can't simply clean mold that has been thriving in the floor and walls like this imo. Something needs to be done, just an unhealthy environment."
"Disgusting school, vandalized and unclean bathrooms, nasty concession stand"
"This school has a terrible drop-off system and staff to parent communication is poor. Since the school is part of Watsons they make you go around where the Watson building is and drop off your kids even if they are in 5th or 6th grade. The tutoring starts at 8am, but they dont allow kids to come in the building until 8, which is unacceptable since my daughter had to wait with other kids in rain to come in the building at 7:55am, she did get sick. Even if you go AROUND coming there at 8am you won't be able to get them to tutoring due to the drop-off system and the long parent car lines. First of all, this school needs better communication with parents of HOW their system works, what is acceptable and what is not. Your system might have worked for years, but my child and I are NEW to your school and your system. Even though people want to use their tutoring sessions, you need to develop your system better to accommodate children who look forward to that opportunity."
