"I spotted an injured hawk and wasn't sure what to do. I contacted the wildlife center and they told me they could take the bird in if I could get it there. They advised me how to capture and transport the injured bird. It was very simple. I got the hawk and delivered it to the center. They rely on donations, so I made a small one. I was appreciative that there was a place willing to help nurse the hawk back to health. They also gave me a reference number, to check on the status of the animal. Thank you, for being there."
"I brought a young falcon by today. I get the falcon out and the lady I had been talking with over texts gets an attitude saying it’s better to leave them in the container, which I understand! However, I had told her over our text conversation yesterday I’ve handled birds before, I know how to hold them, and I’m about to let that brush by but she grabs the bird from me with the same attitude and then walks away and drops the bird and then yells at me because she dropped it and then picks it up aggressively and goes inside. Brings my shirt out and the case number to me without saying much and then leaves. Considering this and other reviews left on here as far back as 10 years ago talking about how the people running this place are rude, I'm raising the possibility that it needs to be investigated. If this is how they treat people and animals publicly, what do they do behind closed doors? Very concerning and I will not be looking to them for animal help in the future."
"What these people are doing for the many wild animals that need help, is truly wonderful! I appreciate all the care, dedication, and time they invest to give these animals a better life."
"Found an injured possum in the middle of March and called to have the poor thing dropped off so they could take care of it. Carol was the person who ended up texting me to give me directions on how to get to the drop-off. There was no clipboard outside for me to leave my information like I was told. Carol said her volunteers hadn't got out there by the time I dropped him off. She NEVER texted me back. I never got a call back or a case number or anything. It's honestly terrible that they made zero effort to get ahold of me despite calling and texting multiple times with my information given each call. And Carol seriously needs to learn how to text with punctuation, her messages were almost indecipherable."
"I found an injured bird and contacted the Wildcat Wildlife Center for advice. They got back to me within an hour and asked if I could bring her in. When I arrived, the volunteers were incredibly welcoming and tended to the bird immediately. They assigned her a case number and said I could check back in about a week. They are such a caring, dedicated group of volunteers. I am so grateful for all that they do!"
