About the Lincoln State Park, Campground Shelter
Lincoln State Park, Campground Shelter is located in Lincoln City, Indiana, United States. This institution offers a unique opportunity to explore the boyhood home of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. Nestled among rolling hills and thick forests, the park provides 10 miles of hiking trails, two scenic lakes, and an interpretive center to learn about the early settlers in southern Indiana.
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing stay at one of the campgrounds, cabins, or group cottages while exploring the historic sites within the park, such as the Colonel Jones Home and the Little Pigeon Creek Baptist Church and Cemetery. The park, established in 1932 as a memorial to Lincoln's mother, Nancy Hanks, also features facilities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression.
With trails ranging from easy to moderate difficulty, such as the Lake Trail, John Carter Trail, and Sarah Lincoln Grigsby Trail, visitors can immerse themselves in nature and history. The park also offers the Weber Lake Trail, where visitors can witness the reclamation efforts that have transformed the lake into a thriving ecosystem.
A visit to Lincoln State Park is a journey back in time to when the land was wild and Lincoln was a young boy, providing a unique and educational experience for the whole family.

Reviews of Lincoln State Park, Campground Shelter
"I would give it 5 stars. Some reason T Mobile does not want to work. Space x please."
"Good trails. An okay place to train."
"I really enjoy this park and it is beautiful. However the campground could use some work. Many of the sites are a challenge to level your trailer. They are packed in pretty tight for a state park too. We stayed in site 128. It was ok but we felt like we were part of the site behind us. They do have water at each site which is a plus, just make sure you have plenty of hose. Of course we will go back. Just choose your site carefully."
"Lots of nature to explore here, tent campsite was good. Kids liked it too."
"This is a super family friendly campground with lots to do and see and beautiful views all around. It is much better and more fairly priced than the one closer to the park and you avoid most of the party campers that way too. Easy drive to the theme park but you should stay and enjoy the lake! They have great sites for rvs and campers and lots of shady grassy spots for tents as well. They also have several handicapped spots that are very roomy with paved accesses. Nice bathhouse and playgrounds and many easy trails around the lake for hiking."
