Reviews of Internal Medicine Associates of Tuscaloosa, P.C.
"This place will humiliate you in front of others and don't even care.will put you on the spot and make you feel like a nobody .might even cause someone to relapse because they couldn't get there meds. Not caring what happens to a person when they step outside the doctors office.the doctors don't even run the office its the women in the front office that really make the calls. I know i went there for three years.left for how they treated me on that last day.like they where targeting me for some reason, because me and one of the office ladies bumped heads.made me feel like a nobody .made me think damn if you do and damn if you don't .thats how i felt and my feelings about this place"
"Waiting on lab work for 1 hour. Not sure why it’s taking so long. Poor communication. Unacceptable patient care. Now here on 6/9 for my follow-up visit. It’s already been more than 30 min. wait to meet with my pcp. How much longer? Updated review 12/5/2022: only one lab tech here this morning and I’ve been waiting for 30 min for my lab draw. My primary care physician also notified me that she is cancelling our appt next week and the soonest available appt isn’t until April, 2023. This practice is lagging in its patient care. Will be looking elsewhere for better quality medical care."
"At my age I don't know what I would do without there care.. my diabetes is under control. The staff cares about me..there test to make sure my A1C stay correct. My cholesterol, blood pressure, blood cell counts are all watched. And I see a specialist anytime as needed... from what I've seen all are treated with the same care for us all... THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND CARE FOR US ALL. I plan on staying as long as they will see me. Thanks again"
"*Find the best Doctor for YOU! Doctors and Nurses are very busy. However, please take time to listen to your patients. Communication is critical. I was desperately trying to find answers. I was told, "that's a lot of information for a first time vist". (15-20 minute visit) Well, shouldn't it be? The Dr.s personal Nurse called me the following day with contradicting information the Dr. gave, and the last time I spoke with her, I got an accusatory vibe due to my sudden development of anxiety. (As in I was just overreacting). They did set me up with another specialist which the DCH ER was already supposed to have done. I have since found out that I have Heart Failure. Not being able to breathe or the lack of oxygen I would say is the reason for my anxiety issues and temporary thoughts of suicide. PLEASE LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN to your patients At the very least respond with positivity. You may know your plan but we patients do not, for us it's the first time or tenth time, not the Millionth Time like it may be for you. Being scared and havin appointments rescheduled for months away doesn't help matters. Thank you Doctors and Nurses all again for the hard work you do, I know your jobs aren't easy."
"I have a wonderful doctor here...Dr. Jim Ellison. He's by the book and careful of how he treats me. He refers me when needed and follows up on everything. I respect him and am doing well under his treatment. I never sit waiting forever in this facility. Everyone is professional, sweet and respectful. I really appreciate having quality medical care."
