United States Bullion Depository
About the Business
The United States Bullion Depository, located at 397 Redmar Boulevard in Fort Knox, Kentucky, is a significant tourist attraction. This institution is not a production facility, but rather a secure storage facility for the United States' precious metal bullion reserves. The construction of the depository was completed in December, requiring a substantial amount of materials and costing $560,000. Over the years, Fort Knox has stored important items such as the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, as well as the Magna Carta and the crown of St. Stephen, King of Hungary. The vaults have been opened to visitors on rare occasions, such as in 1944 during World War II and in recent years for journalists, Congressional delegations, and government officials. The United States government's official website provides more information about the history and significance of the Fort Knox Bullion Depository.

"Accidentally drove into this place and got 4 stars right away had a tough time losing those stars until I was clear."
"Really friendly staff great place and I got to take a souvenir as well (see reference image), tried to shoot me on my way out though so only 4 stars."
"I worked at Fort Knox for almost a year, so had the pleasure of not only touring the United States Bullion Depository, but also driving past it almost every day! How cool is that? It’s funny that most people consider the Bullion Depository as Fort Knox, but it actually sits on Fort Knox and is super secure. Half of the Treasury’s gold is stored here. I really enjoyed the tour and am so glad I was able to experience that. I don’t think they’re touring right now due to COVID, but I’d love to visit again whenever I’m back in the area."
"Run for the gold! Haha No way I've heard stories about this place."
"It was fun to get a private tour from my buddies in the army. I brought along my ultra sound gold testing equipment and it turns out this place is being advertised incorrectly. It is a large repository of gold plated tungsten. Very hard to tell the difference unless you bring the ultra sound to bear. Weighs almost exactly the same! I gave it three stars because it is more like a Disney ride than a real repository of anything valuable."
