"Dr. Ferrin is a wonderful doctor, however I tested positive with Covid at home on August 17th. I called the next morning burning up with a fever left 2 messages and would not return my phone call. My husband calls and they didn’t return my phone call bc I owed a $75.00 balance I didn’t know anything about! SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! I hope you don’t get sick and need help! I didn’t come into the office bc I didn’t want to chance anyone else getting sick!!! You are closed tomorrow and you told my husband you would call something in to help me! I wouldn’t have given you 1 star but to leave a comment I had to. The office staff is rude and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! This will be reported!! Mary Baker"

"I'd give no stars if it was an option. A very special friend of mine who is actually a patient there called and left a VM CRYING, to have someone call her back and that she needed help and her medication regulated and was not doing well mentally. Her exact words were: "It made no difference...it's been over a week and no one has called me." She has to get a referral from her doctor in your office in order to do so. It's been almost 2 weeks now. Do you know she actually got on the suicide hotline website to read suicide survivor stories to help her get through the night..???? And do you know still on this date of June 13, 2018 she is STILL having to "get by" when she shouldn't have to live like this?!? What is the point of everyone telling people to reach out and get help when the very ones that can (you doctors and mental health care providers") don't take your patients seriously. Mental illness is not like a physical illness to where you may be able to wait a few days or weeks to get back to them... ONE DAY can make someone who has a mental illness and is suicidal who HAS reached out the way they are "encouraged to do" kill themselves. If your office decides to treat and prescribe patients with mental illness, medications and/or has the responsibility to refer them to the doctor who can....then you HAVE to be able to have ample staff to make those call backs....SAME DAY and marked URGENT. NO EXCEPTIONS! Furthermore, wether you are a Family Nurse Practitioner or Family Physician, if you do not specialize in Mental Health and have not taken extensive education in prescribing Mental Illness medications you have NO business in doing so. Just because your scope of practice "allows" you to prescribe mental health medications, does NOT mean you are qualified nor have the proper specialty education to do so. Period."
