Reviews of Olympia Fields Illinois Village Hall
"New person has been there a year. I was in the hospital and I had financial difficulties and expressed it to the new head guy. The issue is that this person will call you like you owe him personally. Why is a utility company calling me several (3) times over a nsf payment personally??? It stressed me out and not only that, the argument that ensues between the two of us EACH TIME HE CALLED would make folks think we were an old married couple. I don't need utility companies harassing me about nsf fees etc. Send a letter in the mail or put a notice on my door but please for the love of God stop calling my phone sir. I literally was in a hospital bed telling this man that I'm struggling with illness and to leave me be until I am discharged. I was so embarrassed and scared the entire 5 days admitted in the hospital that my water would be shut off. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had issues with the village not sending out water shut off notices and I have spoken to the mayor previously about the same issue with the water company and their systems failing homeowners but now we have a new person there who is being VERY unprofessional and impatient with homeowners like myself who is a disabled veteran asking for a little more grace and humility while I'm fighting illnesses related to my disability. I even let him know that my home care nurse has been looking out for the notices he said he sent but we never received. I felt attacked and helpless while this man made no effort to even understand that it was a mistake and would be taken care of by the agreed upon date and continued to call me and "strong arm" me into paying. This is no way to treat consumers especially if you already charged me fees for being late and or nsf fees, seems like double jeopardy to start calling residents on top of already the fear of being disconnected WITHOUT notice again. This has been an uphill battle with them since 2020 when they gave me several "estimated" bills that I paid and they still cut me off because they MISREAD the meter for 8 months. Ps. I put the Village on the block list because of this person. If you can call me personally about my bill, where was your antennas when you shut the water of on residents for servicing? I didn't see you canvassing the neighborhood letting folks know about the snow storm coming. The man is relentless and it's weird."
"It was a hard day at work, so I decided to drive down Kedzie Ave near the 211th Street Metra Station they had an undercover police car hidden on Kedzie Ave on the Butter Field bridge near the 211 Street Metra Station in the walking trail where I could not see the police car. It was too late, I had to pay the fine for going over the speed limit there."
"I visited the village hall to establish an account for water utilities. The staff at the village hall were extremely professional and friendly. The application process was smooth and they were able to handle my request within 10 minutes."
