"A year and a half ago we saw Dr. Zimmer after being referred to MFM for a more in depth ultrasound after the initial 20wk anatomy scan. Our baby had fluid on his brain (hydrocephalus) and after meeting with her a couple of times she recommended terminating the pregnancy. My husband and I asked to see a different provider because that will never be something we do. As a side note, there is no bedside manner for this woman and no helpful information. Fast forward, we have a 1 year old happy baby boy. He’s had a shunt placed and sees specialists but is otherwise a healthy babe. ASK FOR A DIFFERENT DOCTOR or at least a second opinion."

"I would prefer not a student do my 28 week ultrasound . The dr was very quick . I wasn’t with her much for the drive I have to do ."

"Dr. Zimmer and her team are fantastic. This is my second time visiting them and each time they answered all of mine and my husband’s questions, were extremely communicative, very thorough, and left me with a sense of relief. I was very emotional going into the appointment and every single person was very nice and compassionate."

"My ob made a referral due to cysts showing up in my ultrasound at week 14. Dr Zimmer denied the referral and told my OB that me having the appointment "would waste both of our times, because the cysts were a molar pregnancy, was non viable and needed to be terminated." No blood tests done, no amnio, just that one ultrasound done at an emergency appointment due to bleeding. Luckily I went to Riley. It was molar, but a molar twin. So I have my healthy 19 month old son (no chromosome issues at all) sitting in front of me due to no thanks to her. I tried contacting her management after my care at Riley was done, but I was told since she never saw me there is nothing in my chart so they can't do anything about it."

"My wife and I elected to see this specialist due to family history. We were first seen by a counselor, but honestly we could have filled out her questionnaire ourselves. We then had an ultrasound with a technician followed by a pediatric cardiologist. After sitting in the exam room for 45 minutes or so, I stepped out to see if we had missed some instructions. Dr. Dawn Zimmer told us we were good to go, literally did not step into the exam room. Yet ironically, her bill was nearly three times that of the pediatric cardiologist (who actually did the ultrasound). Extremely dissatisfied with her lack of bedside manners. Do yourself a favor and go to Riley where you at least get treated with respect (or at least seen by the doctor)."
