Reviews of Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center - Dr. James J. Wright Building
"If you want help finding housing this is most definitely NOT the place to look for assistance. Solomon??? has no concept of need, he has handshake agreements with different "Friends" to place you in a sleeping room. Period. If you want something that has a level of privacy such as an apartment he will simply put your name on waiting lists. Said waiting lists are full and you will die of old age before your name makes it to the top. There is no communication with the client, he talks a big game when you can hear but no further action is taken. He signed me up with a nursing home and two complex but none of them will happen to have a vacancy for months."
"I have only received excellent care from the providers at Eskanazi, but have only had negative experiences with billing. They've been largely unhelpful and I've had to rely on my insurance's customer support to figure out why things went wrong. For example I received a bill where the claim was submitted from their Cincinnati location and had the wrong billing code on it. I originally contacted billing at Eskanazi, and was basically told it's my problem to figure out. My insurance figured out what was wrong and basically gave me a script to tell Eskanazi what was wrong. If you get Diana P as your billing agent, don't expect much help."
"I was a patient here some time ago. You have to arrive no later than 8am in order to be registered for the first time. The staff was ok, but they repeatedly disregarded my requests to stop spamming my phone. Whenever I did not have an appointment scheduled yet they'd become like telemarketers and call a lot. Requests are ignored and one caller sounded kind of sad, which tells me possibly staff are forced to do this by higher ups. So I stopped going and returned to my faith 6 months ago and I can say I'm nearly healed of BPD. These days as society moves away from God and destroys itself, the power of God to heal trauma and emotional distress is severely underrated. I encourage all those who are suffering to seek Jesus first and foremost. Have a blessed day."
"Completed online form for new patient appointment for my daughter..4 days later nothing. Called and was told new patients have to present via the walk in assessment service...that would be good information to have on the website instead of an appt request form that you ignore anyways. Then, I drive down there to the walk in during the hours they told me and it is closed...no explanation....apparently they were closed all week and the person I spoke to was incapable of telling me this. Zero mental health help a,vailable ..zero compassion..called crisis number and recorded message asking for "access code" ...seriously? If weren't stressed before you started...you sure will be when you get done. Unacceptable to be asked by a receptionist "what my daughters IQ is""
"Well I am back with what I hoped would be a story of reassurance for others but NOT. I did get a call from a patient experience liaison. He listened and was helpful to the best of his abilities since my son is not a minor. He already had an appointment for 08/19 and we were told that would stand. Then we got a call to cancel it. Then we got a call saying it would happen as a virtual visit. Then it was rescheduled to October. My son was told his meds had a refill which i knew it did not but I called pharmacy and guess what no refill. At this point me and my son will need to go to St. Vincents Stress Center."
