"When you go in, they somewhat help. My last visit, I went in for allergies and got treated for some other diagnosed issue. Receptionists seldom pick up the phone. If they do, you get transferred to a VM and no one ever calls you back. Just trying to get a price estimate and process information for a treatment and keep getting asked if I want to schedule another appointment. NO, I'm responding to what you told me in your LAST appointment and want information before I make a decision. I'm getting a referral to another allergist."
"LONG POST PLEASE READ! this is my sons account. I am only giving one star to be able to post a review. NOT BOARD CERTIFIED ALLERGISTS!!! I am not giving any stars. I came to CENTA per the recommendation of a friend as I have been severely breaking out in hives everyday since June of 2020. My PCP and dermatologist could not diagnose me. I went to CENTA on 01/27/21 to get my blood drawn for food allergy testing. I had to schedule my skin poke allergy test out to March 2nd to give time for the food allergy blood tests to come in. I was told that I could call and see if they came in to schedule my skin pokes earlier. I called and called and called and they never received my blood tests. So I go in on 03/02 to be told they don't have my blood allergy tests, they refuse to do the skin pokes because I was in the ER that previous Sunday going into anaphylactic shock and they didn't want to risk me going into shock again however, the ER is right downstairs. They still didn't even have my blood results. I had a phone call on 03/01 from Serolab regarding payment because they had ins issues. Serolab was gracious enough to tell me that they didn't even receive my samples until 03/01 yes it had now been well over a month. When asked why it took so long, Maria the MA told me that my results weren't sent out until 02/18/21, yes 22 days AFTER my blood was drawn. She said, "i don't understand because everyone who had their blood taken after you already had their results. there were 5 pts after me on different days that already had their blood results in. when I asked her if my appointment was on 1/27 when they took my blood why did it NOT get sent out until 2/18. Maria proceeded to tell me that they ship the samples out every Tuesday and Thursday. Jan 27 was a Wednesday meaning my samples could have been sent out the next day, or even the following Tuesday. NOPE didn't happen. When I told her that this was unacceptable and they had been leading me around in pain, super itchy, scratching my skin open from the hives, and bruising my skin, she then tried to tell me that she runs the skin pokes on Tuesdays and then another part on Thursdays. I didn't care, if you can't multitask then you shouldn't be running anything. CENTA are NOT Board Certified Allergist, which now explains why they refused to do the skin pokes. They say they SPECIALIZE in Asthma and Allergy. They specialize in ENT, but because they are NOT BOARD CERTIFIED, they can't specialize in allergy, they can only PRACTICE allergy. Now, not only have I been told they are not Board Certified Allergists, by one nurse, but I have been told this by multiple Nurses and DOCTORS. Bottom line, you want a GREAT allergist where you will get immediate answers, I know a fantastic one!"
"I saw Dr. Tortorich and I had nasal surgery back in 2019 and he was absolutely fantastic! Follow up care was great and he is very attentive!"
"Saw Dr. Tortorich in September 2018. I was experiencing severe pain in my mouth and also a severe toothache. I had initially gone to my dentist who referred me to a doctor for a root canal who then sent me off for a biopsy. My primary physician then referred me to CENTA. So by the time I got into CENTA, I was in a lot of pain. Informed on a Monday that it might be sinus cancer and needed to go to the north side office for more tests. Two days later, I was seen again and when the CAT Scan showed no tumor, I was basically dismissed. Now had it been cancer, I would have appreciated the immediate response and the many doctors and nurses who came in that morning to see me. However no one diagnosed what was actually wrong. Instead, they suggested my next step was to see a neurologist! You know what was wrong?!? I had my first-ever sinus infection (and it was now a raging infection) and also had an infected salivary gland. You would think an ENT doctor and the entire staff would have been able to diagnose me properly... Luckily, I did find a doctor (The Next Day!!) (shout out to Dr. Trigg - thank you VERY MUCH) who was able to properly diagnose me. Prescribed a strong antibiotic and removed the salivary gland and sent it off for a biopsy. It came back negative! Immediately felt relief after biopsy and within four days on antibiotic."
"If I could give them a 10 star rating, I would! Dr. Phillips is absolutely the best! He is also amazing with children!"
