"Dr. Antonio Cavataio works for Teladoc virtual care and I had a visit with him on the night of August 1. I am exhibiting symptoms such as fever, the chills, headache, etc. The doctor made a comment that a diet high in fat will cause digestive issues after surgery With no indication or disclosure that I even eat a diet high in fat at all. He just automatically made the assumption that I have a diet high in fat. Secondly, he approved the doctors note over the phone, but after waiting 10 minutes and not receiving the note I called Teledoc only to find that the note was never placed on my file. I called back and spoke to an agent more than thrice over the course of two hours and after promises that Dr. Cavataio would call me back and he never did. In fact, I received a notification from Teladoc that another doctor would call and he never called, either. Dr. Cavataio Should be ashamed for engaging in discriminatory behavior when it comes to matters of a patient’s health and safety. I will be taking this to the Board of Health and as far as I can. Do not recommend this doctor. I’ve spoken to several doctors who work for Teladoc and have never been treated like this by a physician before."
