Reviews of Brentwood Springs
"They treat you less than human. Brentwood was more like jail instead of a nurturing environment. Nobody ever asked how I was doing. Instead the just yelled at people who didn’t know the rules. Go somewhere else. When you voluntarily check in they won’t let you leave. Told the staff I wanted to check myself out so I could go to a different facility…they told me they could legally hold me for 72 hours after my my completion after the request. I asked if I was being held against my free will and they countered with “you signed a contract”while I was drunk. Bad staff, horrible facility, the group sessions were a joke, inedible food. No clocks, no phone, no music, I just stayed in my room for 2 weeks. Go anywhere but here."
"Holding me hostage when I called in for outpatient services and threatening to shoot me up holding a needle over me. Asking my husband to come back to chat with me then saying if he didn't leave yall would call the cops. Saying all the doors were locked, I couldn't leave, AND LYING ON MY PAPERWORK about self harm. Your ignorant staff can rot. Thanks for messing my life up even more. Yall used to be good. Burn in hell."
"First off inpatients services have gone down hill since I first got here. The staff all were rude and talking badly of other patients they had on there unit. Nursing staff acted so like they were better then you and didn’t want to help out much. And no one listens to you when you say you’re ready to leave and that you will be safe at home. I had to threaten to sign an ama paper just to get discharged from inpatient. Then I did PHP which word of advice don’t do it they are too strict bout not missing because of health problems not related to mental health. And when I told them I had to be out because of doctors appointments they wanted to sit there and try to tell me I had to stay in group no matter what. I feel like this facility is money hungry and they actually don’t care bout you. The only good thing bout this place is that you are allowed to smoke actual cigarettes in inpatient but that’s it the staff are rude the food is DISGUSTING and if you don’t like it then you’ll be stuck on a ham sandwich or turkey sandwich or pbj sandwich diet the whole time you are here. And also the staff I feel like just don’t care bout your problems and don’t want to listen to you. Do not come here!!!"
"When I signed up for the Outpatient Program I signed papers stating it was 15 days and I could miss up to 3 days for doctors appointments without having to make them up. 3 days before I was suppose to graduate, Brentwood told the class they changed the program from 15 days to 18 days. Also that I was required to make up the days I had missed so they wanted to add 5 days onto my outpatient. You can't just change the program in the middle of it. After speaking to Brentwood they told me they would look into it and then the next morning they told me I could still graduate on time if I had shown improvement. I had shown improvement, however, my anxiety levels rose due to Brentwood attempting to add days to the program. They then told me the recommended I come 2 more days because the news they gave me upset me that much. Yes, you read that right. The joke of a therapist straight told me she would be furious if she was in my shoes. Ridiculous! They wanted more Billable days. That is their bottom line, it's all about Billable days for them. I completed my 15 days but did not "graduate" from the program because of Brentwood's greed to attempt to get more money out of me. I did not get to fill out my exit plan and did not get to participate in the "chipping". They picked out some people in the groups and added time on their program, but not everyone. It did not make sense to any of us and makes it looks like Brentwood just wanted more Billable days to bill my Insurance, knowing my particular Insurance does not deny any claims. Did Brentwood call my Insurance Company to approve the added days or did they attempt to commit Insurance Fraud? I showed up one day late because of 2 doctors appointments and they told me it would not count as a billable day so I was sent back home. Obviously, Brentwood didn't care about me getting better, they just wanted my money."
"Had a person go there twice. Second time, said they had a10 day detox, out in 6. Patient needed & wanted in patient, sent her by car with a family member to another facility... that facility had no beds available. Brentwood did no initial contact, helping in getting the person transferred, nothing!!! 6 days detox isn't nothing in active addiction!! They should've made sure another facility had a bed open before ever releasing a patient!! No follow thru."
