Reviews of Lindeman & Associates Psychological Services
"This office worked with us to get help our child while also meeting the requirements of legal powers that be. They were understanding, accommodating, professional, and efficient. They worked with a variety pack of needs and personalities. Thank you for helping make a stressful situation just a bit easier."
"It would be in your best interest to go somewhere else. The professional and ethical standard is subpar. Dr. Lindeman made a solid suggestion to change my treatment plan, which has been working for me. A treatment plant that multiple mental health professionals from the State of Colorado helped develop. When I moved to Indiana, I only used her office as part of the procedural process to transfer my treatment plan. Instead, I was gaslighted by her staff; my report inferred I was self-diagnosing. The real kicker is that Dr. Lindeman never met me in person. I usually do not write reviews, but I feel that others should know what they might be stepping into, especially since Dr. Lindeman seemed to have not to issue putting my mental health in jeopardy without meeting me in person. Also, she does not provide a courtesy follow-up appointment to review any discrepancy in test results. If you take your mental health serious, I would recommend another provider."
"I really don't ever leave reviews, and I try to be very kind to hardworking service people but my experience here was very harmful for me and has left a lasting negative impact. I want others who are seeking treatment to consider this, especially if you have concerns about money or insurance. I would recommend being very careful and checking multiple sources when understanding if your insurance covers treatment here. The front desk told me my intake appointment was covered by insurance with a small copay. I repeatedly asked for more information about the copay but they told me they couldn't tell me what it was and that it was a small amount. The front desk staff seemed annoyed that I was asking and somewhat passive aggressive. I think that kind of annoyed tone would be a big deal in other environments but given the context and the kind of people visiting the office I think it's relevant. There was a very long wait time in the lobby, the intake appointment itself went okay and the doctor was friendly but I never had the chance to make any difference at all or seek a diagnosis because the copay ended up being $500, which was a devastating amount for me, and of course I never came back. It's been years since this happened but I have not sought treatment for a disability which is very impairing to me because I was devastated by my treatment there and it genuinely made me very fearful of similar environments."
"I'm not writing this review to be rude but to help others who truly need help to know what to expect. My experience was not psychotherapy. My first appointment I was told to get on medication for depression and anxiety... my first visit. My second visit i was seeking communication and instead found myself with virtual reality goggles on learning how to breath. These two visits were expensive."
"This was a waste of time and money. My son does not have anger issues and they were having him do a virtual reality game to try to control his breathing and anger. Never has he EVER had anger issues. He is happy and hyper. He likes to tell large stories but NEVER anger. The visit was 45 minutes long. We are billed for it, and it took almost half the time to get the virtual reality game to boot up so there was nothing pleasant about this. My son didn’t talk, just played. The therapist didn’t talk. Just watched him look around with this mask. If I wanted him to strap a phone to his face to play a game, I would have done it from home."
