"Been some time since my last visit and it didn't disappoint. Even though it was day time during the week plenty of lunch time visitors to keep the action going. Also love to see when owners are making updates, changes, improvements to keep the place fresh and the Cutie at the desk couldn't have been nicer."
"Hateful club just paid and they would not let me in due to a small bag I had that had flip flops and an extra towel in it. This place is a disgrace. I go with the same bag in Columbus Ohio a much better facility with same bag all the time. I showed what was in it. Take your business elsewhere."
"We have had the best experience until tonight, but tonight, we went in distinctly to use the hot tub. They remodeled and there is now no hot tub. We asked the person at the desk directly about the hot tub, and the person at the desk flat out lied. It’s almost as if they forgot they run a hospitality business, and part of that is making sure promised services are up and running. My bank is now processing a dispute on the transaction. Let’s make this place a cash only business. Update: Honestly, “we are sorry you feel that way…” is so off putting and defensive. Seriously, it comes down to the behavior of your staff. Two of your staff flat out lied to my face. That is a problem. The hot tub is just the catalyst. If the staff would have said, “I’m sorry, I just didn’t hear you, I thought you said something else,” and offered a refund since it was obvious that we were there just long enough to check for hot tub… there would have been no concerns. There is no such thing as a valid no refund policy for a hospitality business in 2023… and before you use an excuse… My dear, you are a hospitality business not a sex business, as you all constantly tell Indianapolis, I’m sure, so, no, just because some people walk through, don’t find anyone interesting, and then want a refund doesn’t mean anything different or that you don’t have to follow hospitality rules. I didn’t book through Expedia, and merchant fraud is very rampant in hospitality; so, charge backs are super common. A charge back is always worse than a refund… change your antiquated policy."
"I enjoyed this place for 18 years, primarily to utilize their hot tub and pool, as a way to commune spiritually within my element - water - that I could not do anywhere else. The staff was always kind and personable and happy. Then for the next 5 years, they were constantly plagued with mechanical issues affecting the hot tub, and it was closed down a quarter of the time I would go, but everything else remained the same. Then 2 years ago, instead of replacing mechanical parts and fixing the hot tub, which was THE draw for EVERYONE I KNEW, they instead shut it down, ripped it out, and built another sauna over top of it! Like, who needs 2 freakin' saunas, when EVERY time I went it was QUITE evident that the sauna was the LEAST utilized amenity! But, I still went for the pool. And then my friend that worked there moved away, and soon the staff changed over. They were no longer as friendly and kind. Well, I decided to give them one more chance after having traveled the country over the past year. I knew the hot tub was still gone with no plans to build a new one, but I at least wanted to enjoy the pool and commune within my element under the night sky. And this short visit is why I now give this place 1 star. If I could give it ZERO STARS I would since I couldn't even get past the attendant! I was REFUSED entry because they claimed the small bag I carried was too big, which is the SAME EXACT bag I have used to carry my change of clothes, sandals, etc, for 25 years into this place! The attendant was very rude and dismissive. He didn't care. He pointed to a small bag they sell and said it needed to be no bigger than that. I stated I could easily smoosh my bag down to fit in it, but he didn't care, just insisting he couldn't let me come in. It's such a shame. I was warned by my friends who still live here and who used to go with me that I shouldn't go, and that they stopped going over a year ago. I now see why. This place held a special place in my heart because it was the very first bathhouse I ever went to; it was my hometown bathhouse; I took friends with me every time any visited from out of state; I even made more than a dozen new friendships with people I met here over the past 25 years. It was the ONLY place for the first 20 years after turning 18 where I could get away from life and truly let go, relax, and be my authentic self! It was a safe haven for me, especially when my mental health dipped extremely low, and I needed the healing power of immersing my whole body in my element - water - free from the constraints of clothing, to cleanse my soul and re-energize and ground myself. THAT is what they have taken away from me now. I have been to EVERY other Club location across the country, and this location is now the ONLY one without a hot tub. This place has gone from being my safe haven when I was younger, to now THE WORST Club location of the entire franchise. That is what I will have to say when anyone at the other locations ask me what the Indy location is like now. I can no longer recommend this one to anyone. I will never be back. Just another piece to the story of my life, a place that helped to shape the man I am today, that has changed so much for the worse that it has now become unrecognizable, and shameful."
