"SHADY The biggest red flag is the property manager and their way of handling business.. In my experience they were completely dismissive any time I'd call with a concern about the unit- particularly with health and safety concerns. Then, they kept most of my security deposit and made a completely false accusation about how I left the unit and blamed me for something that I did not do. I mean they made a completely untrue claim as to why they had to charge me, and when I told them I have proof, they changed the statement to another false accusation. I kept my apartment clean and did a deep clean before I left the unit. In the past, I have never once had any amount of a security deposit withheld for any reason. I truly feel robbed of the money they took out of my security deposit here. The unit was old. Everything in the unit was outdated-- like they kept all the same stuff from the 90s and had never repaired, refurbished, or replaced anything. They're so old and outdated I was living next to a hoarder when I first moved in. After moving in, I quickly learned about the "landlord special". The tub glaze peeled off every time you took a shower or cleaned the tub so I was never able to take a bath. I found centipedes crawling through my apartment at least once a week, dealt with ant issues in the summer near the window sills and patio door, and the last week I lived there , there was a wasp infestation inside the unit somehow.... the building hallway smelt like garbage all the time because they have an unregulated trash service. People leave their trash bags out all week until the guy comes to get it - it's not like they are required to leave it in a trash can or anything. The parking is horrendous. There were times I had to walk from the apartment entrance all the way back to my apartment. On top of that, there were car break-ins every other week. After all this piled up over time I had to get out of there. Hopefully they don't give that generic response to this, but actually use the information from this review to do better."
"So, I just wanted to give an update. Now I've been here going on 4 months and I have some new perspective. First of all, before moving in I read reviews stating that parking is horrendous. Honestly, I don't know how long ago that was, but I have never encountered anything remotely like that. I love love love my apartment! I love that I have a screened in porch to allow my cat to be "outdoors". I have received immediate response to any question or service I have requested. Take it from me, that is rare. The Maintenance team is awesome, super friendly and always helpful. I cannot recommend Creek Bay highly enough. I anticipate that this will be my home for many years! I have been here only 1 week so far but have noticed how safe and comfortable I feel. I love it here already!"
"Residents experienced a water line leak and the maintenance service was awesome. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. We were very impressed with the amount of experience behind the crew who fix the problem and as quickly as they did. We're living back to normal again."
"So glad I got out of here when I did. This place is managed poorly. Let's take a quick reciew of some of the issues i experienced in a single year as a tenant. - I initially was moving in August of 2022. The management couldn't plan and forced me to adjust my lease and move in September of 2022. This was done because the unit had BED BUGS. They allowed no time to account for any upkeep, yhey were simple concerned with occupancy rates and getting the next warm body in the unit. Management did nothing to compensate me for this and just expected me to adjust my life around them. - Parking. If you go out for dinner then good luck getting a parking spot within 100 yards of your apartment. Spots fill up around 7 PM and they have more vehicles than spots available. They do nothing to fix this but have the audacity to tow your vehicle if you back into a space or change your oil. - Presentation. The grounds are not well kept. There is dog waste EVERYWHERE and they do not clean it. Sure, they send a text message asking people to clean up after themselves, but at the end of the day, the property manager is responsible to keep the grounds presentable and they act as if their hands are tied because they cannot be bothered to grab a shovel. It's not all bad though because the dog waste is offset by the smell of the stagnant trash filled ponds the company "proudly" boasts. - Control. Creek Bay does nothing to make your experience worthwhile, but are happy to add unnecessary rules to fine you at their convenience. As mentioned above, you cannot work on your vehicle, they force you to sign up for a trash removal service so you can recycle but then tell you it's actually just trash and not recycling. We had some older ladies below us that has lovely displays in their area (flowers, bushes, bird feeders) and Creek Bay was sure to have them remove it. - Units. Truth be told the units are fine. The dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, and fridge (not full size) are all subpar but I guess they get the job done. The patio area was nice and I was able to have breakfast out there often. - Claw Backs. You will not get your security deposit back. I know most people are jaded on what properties will return and consider it a sunk cost. Not only will you not receive your deposit but you will receive a bill for some outlandish charge. Management will refuse to provide any proof or to complete a walkthrough with you, so good luck. - Crime. There have been a string of break-ins and the property is doing nothing to mitigate it. You will receive an email about how "you are a community and crime can happen anywhere", but it is a weekly occurence and they will continue to do nothing to about it. - Cost. Creek Bay is as serviceable as any other community owned by a conglomerate. The cost isn't outlandish but they will refuse to provide you a renewal until you have 2 weeks to decide if a 15% increase is worth staying. They will bemoan the "market" as the driving force while failing to mention they own over a dozen complexes and are the driving force. - Behavior. The property manager is rude. She is some crotchety old lady who is sad life has passed her by and her mom left this world without seeing her daughter amount to anything. I get it. But it's not what I look for in someone I am forced to interact with. I'm being rude here sure, but at the end of the day the only outcome from the 90% valid criticisms is a note from the community that "we're so sorry to hear about your experience and we will strive to do better in the future" and no actual action, so who cares if I'm rude."
"The staff is excellent and I love my apartment. Maintenance has been extremely responsive. So far so good. I have only been here a few weeks though. Nice complex, clean and accommodating. Lisa is great and very welcoming."
