Reviews of The Boardwalk at Westlake Apartments and Townhomes
"Although not perfect, the leasing office is diligent and responsive. I've had past issues, but after sharing my grievances, their efforts have been commendable. Appreciative of their responsiveness and dedication. To prospective residents, as you consider making this your new home, remember that no place can satisfy everyone."
"They don't fix anything on time. But yeah, they expect you to have that rent mright? When it's due, I haven't had electricity in my small bedroom and over 3 months. My dishwasher does not work. You can feel the ventilation Coming from the back door front door and all Windows Windows, and then that makes the electricity will go up. They told me utilities were included except for electricity. But yet I still pay a 120 to a $130 a month for water. Sewage and trash pick up and gas. Even though there's no gas that we know here at this place. Do not recommend! Mplace..place.window Windowsthe screen door which makes"
"I don’t recommend coming here at all. The power was always out and my water always stopped working. I let them know I was leaving and I had $600 credit on the account and I never received it. Never again, I have already email you guys and have emailed collections as well but no answer."
"This complex is a joke. They don’t actually fix things in people’s apartments unless you call the board of health and if they give you a 24 hour notice to clean something up they come pick it up less than 24 hours later. They threw all of my belongings out front of my apartment and refuse to reimburse me for what I’ve lost. I had time to remove my belongings but they didn’t care! I do not recommend living here!"
"Pretty bad experience getting the apartment, okay experience living there. It's not the safest place to live, gun shots, attempted break ins and a death resulting from a shooting all happened in the year that I lived here. They also have a bad habit of false advertising. The pool was never available for use due to no life guard even though I've seen hotel pools 2-3 times as big with no life guard. Most of the exceecise equipment was either broken to the point of being dangerous or just rusty and falling apart. Theyre dog parks, grill areas and children's play areas were nice but I never used them. The laundry facilities do charge even though you live there, and the apartment hired towing company will try to tow you with nothing but a sticker warning if you have rust on your breaks (even if that is from the rain two days ago) because they think your car is derelict. They also had a billing issue with me and instead of telling me by any means necessary, they instead waited until they needed to put up a warning of potential eviction on my door. And finally, when I was moving into the apartment after driving across country with a uhaul, Brian Jetter, my leasing agent, gave me nothing but bad communication and a bad attitude thinly veiled behind behind snarky sarcasm. If you look past all that, the apartment was actually pretty decent to live in. Besides the leaking roof they never fixed and the laundry rooms that always smelled of mildew in the machines and often had several broken machines that never got repaired, it wasn't the worst place to live. That being said, I believe with some research you could be getting a better place to live for a lot less money elsewhere. They upped their prices to around a third higher after covid ended. That is from around 750 to 1100 per month with utilities. Not terrible, but not worth the trouble of dealing with staff and the falling apart facilities. 2/5 stars because the manager was nice on the day I was leaving"
