Parkview Apartments

"Lived in their studio for a year and the experience was meh at best. VERY SMALL apartments for a premium price. There’s a laundry list of problems because these are extremely outdated apartments with very old appliances. — Didn’t respond to any maintenance requests for the first 6 months and eventually responded when I started commenting on their Instagram posts. I understand they’re busy with move-ins but 6 months is a long time for not being heard. After that, things became okay. — Relatively cheaper if compared to apartments in that area. BUT — most apartments in that area are owned by them and they’re responsible for jacking up prices for properties and creating this luxury apartment bubble, so I will not give them credit for this. — It’s not value for money. There’s so many apartments in this price range that are extremely nice. I wasn’t too upset about living here because I liked the safety aspect of the locked doors as a single person and availability of buses around me. — They take a non-refundable deposit for cleaning in the beginning. But then they sent me a bill again for cleaning when I moved out even though I cleaned the apartment when I left. I hope they realise that upkeep of the apartment is also their responsibility and not just mine. Don’t empty our pockets. — There’s no dishwasher. Stove and Oven are gas. I never turned the Oven on after a few times because gas would leak out of it and it felt like a fire hazard. I complained about it but they weren’t interested in changing the appliances. This was a big downside because I couldn’t use the oven at all for the entire year. — Big hot water problem. So many times I have jumped into the shower only to realize that hot water is not working again. It’s a very persistent problem. — Their demo apartment scheme is also a big scam. The money only kicks in after a few visit. Not worth signing up for. — One time someone from leasing came in with a potential renter and made an unnecessary comment on how I kept my apartment while I was in the same room! Most of their staff is IU students, some of who have absolutely no skills or manners when it comes to this. Sometimes I'd have to email them several times to get my point across and it felt like they didn't want to make an effort to understand. Having said that, I've also met a few girls on the team who are extremely nice and responsible."

"Former hotel turned into small apartments for college students and you professionals. Definitely entry level apartments. The lobby and grounds are clean and we'll then care of, just really small apartments."
