"We just had a girls weekend at the Hickory Hills cabin. It was very clean and the view was great. Thank you."
"The owner is a good guy. Wonderful cabins. I got no complaints. We'll be back. I'd recommend them to anyone."
"6 of us (3 couples) had a great stay at Rivers Edge. Such a fun, relaxing weekend. It was just what we were looking for. Cabin had plenty of room& kitchen was nicely stocked. Vinnie was great to work with! We will go back! Jerry Ginder Olney, IL"
"We stayed in the Whitetail Cabin for our Anniversary. The cabin was secluded in a nice scenic area. We had no cell service. The pond was nice. It did have little blue gill and bass in it. Where to even begin.....The cabin it's self is very dated and was not clean. The furniture in the living room was grimy sticky feeling. The floors were sticky and gross feeling. The beds were really terrible. They are old spring mattresses on rolling frames. The green camo bed sheets had dog hair all over them which leads me to believe they were unwashed. The pillows had a bad odor and were like little smelly pancakes. The hot tub is only half functional. Half the jets work and turn on and off intermittently. It also has no lighting in or around the hot tub. Overall it is in very poor condition. The bathroom is very very tiny and appears to be out of a 60's horror movie. It is really bad also. I wasn't expecting the Hilton when renting a cabin but I did expect a clean cabin for $250 a night. My Husband and I had to go to Tell City Walmart to purchase bed sheets, and an air mattress to have somewhere clean to sleep. Luckily we brought our own blanket from home. We won't ever rent from Vinnie's again!!!"
"We recently stayed at the Dawn Star and the cabin itself was pretty decent. The owner provided linens and dishes even plenty of pots and pans and also propane for the grill. They also provided soap for the dishes and laundry soap and dryer sheets which was really nice. What I didn't like was the cabin had so many spiders and spider webs and the ceiling fans didn't look like they'd been cleaned in a long time. The volleyball net was not in a good location in the yard and neither was the fire pit so we weren't able to have a fire at night. We were able to rent the pontoon and take it out for a few hours and that was nice but there really wasn't anything to do around there and nowhere to swim. However, the hot tub was nice and clean."
