"I feel this firm is an absolute scam. Run as fast as you can! I constantly felt like they were lying and cheating so they could take every dollar from me they could. I am still picking up the pieces from how terrible David treated myself and my company! In the last 2 months David even refused to talk to me anymore after he plopped a $440,000 IRS tax bill on me without even telling me. I had to find out with an IRS letter stating I owed the taxes instead of my firm informing me of the tax liability... They filled my tax returns without my approval and never kept me informed of anything. They constantly waited until the last second to file all of my returns and I felt really did the best they could take take advantage of getting every dollar from me before I was forced to fire them for extremely poor service."
"The have been very helpful with tax planning strategies."
"David and team are very knowledgeable and timely. Their expertise was very apparent throughout the year for both bookkeeping/management through tax strategy and filing."
"A SCAM! I had a horrible experience with Provident CPA and I want to share my story so that nobody else has to go through this mess. I am a locum physician (hospitalist) and I have been doing my own taxes as a sole proprietorship. I found Provident CPAs (AKA Physician Tax Solutions) through a Physicians Side Gig group on FB and decided to give it them a try. I started my engagement with Provident CPA in late September 2021. Initially, they asked that I pay $1,125 for them to craft a personal plan (what they call a BluePrint). The bill I received prior to payment stated the below: “OUR GUARANTEE: We promise to save you ten (10) times the amount of the Strategic Blueprint Fee in income tax savings in the first year, or we will refund 100% of the Strategic Blueprint fee back to you. So you have nothing to lose! They promise, if the I have both video and email documentations on our very first meeting verifying “. When they initially presented the BluePrint (which only showed estimated savings, no details of how the savings would be done) I agreed to proceed. I then paid another $1,000 engagement fee and started paying a monthly fee of $895. As of today (1/5/22), I have paid a total of $3,895. I received the detailed plan, which was supposed to save me at baseline around $13K by incorporating and funding a solo 401k plan. When they presented this to me, I advised them for a third time (I mentioned this in our initial recorded zoom + email) that I had funded a SEP plan for the year. Davis, who was working with me, deleted the word “solo 401K” off the excel sheet and added “SEP IRA”, stating that this would change nothing for our 2021 year plan. After carefully reviewing everything, I noticed that the W2 Salary would not suffice for the full SEP contributions I had already made. When I contacted them to discuss the actual savings their answer was that it was my mistake that I had a SEP. After that discussion, I realized we were not seeing eye-to-eye so I demanded a full refund. They then proceeded to hang up on me. Minutes later I received an email from them stating that they were unable to issue a refund and to refer to our engagement letter, which I had signed at the beginning. In that letter, it clearly states that they would work towards a mutual agreement regarding the payment of services completed if the said client is not satisfied. In no way did they work to come to any sort of agreement with me. ### addendum: I reached out to PSG Admin and she worked hard to resolved the issues I had with Provident CPAs. They did eventually agree to refund all my costs. To give a fare review, I did sign up during a busy season and received suboptimal service. I think if you have complex taxes, and you're in general a tax naive person, you'll likely find value in their services. however if you know the basics, it will be very hard to justify the cost of their services."
