Reviews
"This review is for Lindberg Villas, which is a small community of single story, duplex-style homes with attached garages, north of Lindberg Pointe on Klondike Rd. These are fairly new, built around 2020. We paid $1225 per month which included 2 pets. The neighborhood is quiet, and there are nice patios with big trees around. The owner/landlord is a difficult person to deal with. He yelled at me several times, at least once while standing on the porch while I was in the door, another instance where he burst in the door yelling. We had an issue with a neighbor that he appeared to take seriously, but did not take any action as far as we know. My fiancée especially was sometimes terrified to be in our home. We signed a lease for one year, then renewed for a second year but due to a change in work situation we moved out of state. He allowed us to fill out a form to allow him to re-lease the unit, although did not inform us of a $350 that this would incur for “breaking the lease” - this simply appeared as an administrative fee deduction when our deposit paperwork came back. He did give us reasonable notice before showing of our unit to a prospective tenant - however when coming in with this person and I said “welcome to our home” he made sure to be clear that this is “my home not yours.” He gave our contact information to this new tenant without asking permission if this is acceptable. He is, apparently, very specific about what a unit should look like upon moving out, although he does not state this up front. He deducted about 70% of the deposit for cleaning and painting - and considered hard water staining and cleaning of the floors to warrant such a deduction although we left the unit very clean and some would consider cleaning between tenants normal. There was also a deduction for paint, although unclear if this is a normal practice. We patched some holes in the alls from things that were hanging, including sanding and primer, and were told we incurred a charge because it required an additional coat paint to conceal the primer, including painting the garage which he says he does not normally do at all. This is perhaps fair enough and deducted 50% of the total paint cost as billed by the painter. I would be cautious living here - take high resolution photographs when first stepping foot into the building and be crystal clear about expectations of what it should look like when moving out."
"Loved living here side from upstairs neighbors being regularly noisy. Never heard neighbors adjacent to me, though. High quality build, loved having a garage right across from my door. Derrin the landlord is fast to reply with communications. Utilities ran anywhere from $80-$110/month. Plus a $42 water waste fee payed directly to the apartment complex. I believe there is usually a wait-list for these so plan for that."
"Talked on the phone with their leasing agent Darren. Couldn't even get my first sentence out before he cut me off multiple times. Not a very friendly man. I see why the other reviews are complaining about him. Will not be applying here."
"This review is for Lindberg Pointe Villas. It is down the street from Lindberg Pointe Apartments. The unit was newer and well maintained. However, it was constantly loud with a noisy neighbor. I wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper. Make sure to clean the unit spotless or the owner will deduct quite a bit for cleaning fees. Hard water stains were present before moving in. The owner would not negotiate the amount of security deposit he deducted for them."
"I have lived here about a year and am so sad to be moving now that I'm graduated! The buildings are well maintained and the owners are very friendly. I had no issues during my time here and all of the appliances in my apartment worked well and were very clean upon move in. Derrin is great at communicating information to his tenants and quickly responded to all of my questions. I would highly recommend Lindberg Pointe Apartments to anyone looking to live in the West Lafayette area!"
