"Lived here with my girlfriend for one year and it was overall a good experience. All of our neighbors were very friendly and being on the first floor we had concrete ceilings and couldn’t hear anything above us. We had one incident where our sink backed up and spewed out a bunch of gunk but maintenance was there in a heartbeat once we reported it. Maintenance also had to replace our screens and the lock on our door once and was very timely about doing it. For the buildings being from the 70’s they’re holding up very well and very maintained. Props to maintenance. A little pricy but not crazy for the area compared to what other places charge. Keep in mind however we moved out and am renting a house for much less."

"We toured their model units that are in their office and the place had a faint smell of mildew. I stopped by the men's room in the same building and the dropped ceiling tiles have very clear signs of water damage. A shame given that the rest of the bathroom was actually pretty nice. We didn't bother applying to live here. If the office smells of mildew and has leaks, then our hopes for the units was slim. A few of my friends have respiratory issues, and I can't have them over if my unit has those issues."

"I’ve been a resident at Sherwood Lake for nearly 3 years. I have to relocate due to a new position. With 2 months remaining in my lease, I reached out to see if they could work with me due to the fact I will have to pay rent at both locations for 2 months. (Payment plan) Absolutely not. They have no compassion or empathy and said it was corporate and not them. When it comes to money; they are nonnegotiable. I resent businesses that lack empathy. So if you move here and have to suddenly relocate or buy a house please be mindful that you will have to pay out your lease. I’m sure if I move sooner; they will have someone in the unit I paid rent for within weeks! Screen door doesn’t lock, garbage disposal had my entire kitchen foul, until I requested someone look at it and it was replaced. The units look nothing like the model, so make sure you see your actual unit before renting. Maintenance is timely. Quiet community."
