""You should just be glad I haven't walked out today." - Jessica, the pharmacist working on 10/26/23 at the Walgreens on Green Valley in Cahaba Heights. The first time I came though the drive thru I was told my daughter's prescription would be ready in 15 minutes. Fine. Not unusual or a big deal. I leave and come back after more than that time has passed. I come back through the drive thru a second time. I'm told my prescription is ready, but that the pharmacist has gone to the bathroom and I needed to wait on her to return in order to get my prescription. After a few minutes, Brad who said he was the operations manager, told me I couldn't wait any longer and needed to drive around and go to the back of the line which was 3 cars deep. Fine. I pull around a third time and another woman is at the window and says my prescription is ready, but now the pharmacist is in a meeting and can't verify my prescription so she isn't sure when it will be ready. She told me I should come into the building to wait. I explained I had a sick and vomiting child in my car and that is why I was attempting to use the drive thru. Suddenly, Jessica the pharmacist finally appears and rudely asks if I want my prescription. Yes, I'd love that. It's the only reason I'm here. I'm told my prescription is ready. Exasperated, she says, "Fine, I'll get it ready. You should just be glad I haven't walked out today." I'm sorry. What? I'm supposed to be glad she is going to actually do the job she is paid to do? I just wanted my daughter's meds, not Jessica's drama. I'm sorry Jessica was having a bad work day, but there was no need to take it out on me, a customer who was just trying to pick up my prescription for my sick child that I had been repeatedly told was ready. Someone needs to explain to Jessica that being rude to customers isn't right or good, and that pharmacists are expected to work while they are at work aka fill prescriptions for the people who use your pharmacy. If you are still reading, I say all this to say: don't use this pharmacy. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else."
"Nice people but just an awful place to get prescriptions.. one day they charge me 400$ another 25$ … they can’t get anything right over there. Couldn’t get my meds once and got put in the ER next day and all along they were running a wrong insurance."
"Simply atrocious service. This happened night of the 19th of September but I figured I'd go on ahead and share my experience here. I forgot a few things and had to go in and out of the store no fewer than 3 times... Apparently this was not allowed as when I checked out, the manager informed me that I was making the workers "uncomfortable" just by going in and out of the store. I work retail. And In the past day, I've had no fewer than THREE different customers enter and exit the store I work at. Did I feel "uncomfortable?" NO! As a matter of fact, I was flattered to know that customers felt welcome enough to return, no matter the reason, no matter what time, no matter how many times. What does it matter as long as they're friendly and spending money? At first I was worried this may have been racially motivated, but looking at the other reviews I'm honestly not sure... They don't seem to have a good reputation among anyone. This place appears to just have bad service across the board, which is a shame. I used to enjoy going to Walgreens. I used to enjoy this location as it always seems to have what I'm looking for, but after that night? Well, I'd hate to give them what they wanted, but I really don't know if I'll be back."
"Do NOT get your prescriptions filled here. Unless you like to pay more…I was charged $45 more for a prescription they didn’t apply any coupon or even ask or even try. Went to Publix the next time I needed it filled it was $15 not $60 at this location same prescription. Avoid. The pharmacy staff is rude too."
"I wanted to give this location ZERO stars, but apparently, you have to give at least one. This store is totally unreliable. Tonight the whole store was closed down at 6pm b/c all of their systems were down. This has happened before too. How???? Couldn't get prescriptions that were needed TODAY. In the recent past, the pharmacy has been closed at random times b/c they are short-staffed or again, systems are down. Several times they say they can't fill certain drugs when other pharmacies can. Moving prescriptions elsewhere."
