"Merely ONE hour prior to my today's departure to Indy airport, I received a call saying that today's shuttle service has been cancelled due to the "bad" weather. Lafayette Limo was operating fine, despite this "bad weather", though. At this time Lafayette limo and shuttles to ORD are basically fully booked despite some evening trips, so the only option that is left to me is to reschedule my flight. Think twice before travelling with Star of America. UPDATE: I had a very hard time contacting the company. They never responded to my email. Fortunately I paid by Paypal and was able to get a refund after about a month."

"Star of America needs to be shut down. The staff is very rude, hostile, and unprofessional. The drivers do not show up on time; they leave early if no one is at the spot when they arrive; and they don't have card machines the majority of the time, even though the website says to pay with a card. In this case, they won't wait for you if you have to run to the ATM and withdraw. If your bus shows up substantially late or not at all, they do not provide refunds. I do not pay $40 round trip multiple times a month to be treated with such disrespect. I have only had one amazing driver, and I've been riding for two years. Worst bus system ever."

"Our driver Rick was very professional. Prior to leaving for the airport, he professionally reviewed the trip and explained emergency procedures. Gave us an estimated time of arrival and his driving was excellent. I appreciate the free wifi. A nice touch... as a repeat rider I instantly connected. Although I sometimes wish the two shuttles were more than just 20 minutes apart from each other, I like the option of being able to get to the airport a bit earlier. When you have a reservation, they look for you. He was missing a couple today so he went into hotel to check if they were there."

"I had many problems in the past with Star of America form Purdue WL to Indianapolis. All the ones described in the reviews: not checking lobbies (particularly in winter) and so leaving customers behind, not getting the money back when clearly it was due, rude over the phone manager. HOWEVER, I think there has been a change in management. In the past month I took the service 4 times, mainly because I found out about their loyalty program, on my first ride, and I knew I was going to take several shuttles this academic year, more than usual. I was pleasantly surprised at the shall we say "day to night" change. Both drivers were very friendly and 3 of the 4 rides were right on time. One of them was 5 minutes late but nothing too bad. Both drivers also drove very well and I had a great experience! With the new buses are completely equipped yet, but I'm hopeful they will be soon. As a suggestion: in Winter, all shuttle drivers should definitely check the Union and airport lobbies because, well, it's Indiana and it gets very cold outside! It's a courtesy and professional to check the lobbies at the pickup stops."

"I along with about 8 other people were standing in zone 5 as directed by thier kiosk(they did not have somebody working there like the other transportation companies, even on a holiday weekend) and all of us started walking towards the shuttle when we saw it, he paused for a moment and drove right past us without stopping. when I called in the customer service rep said a lot of times people are standing in the wrong spots(we're not dumb, all of us go to Purdue) and that there was nothing he could do. Terrible experience, I would never make a reservation with this company again even if it was free."
