Deaconess Henderson Hospital

"My girlfriend went there this morning 2-9-24, she has been having pains in her right side they did one test and some blood test and then nothing sent her home, we decided to go over to Evansville and turns out her pancreas is failing! So if we didn’t decide to go to Evansville she could have ended up so much worse now we are admitted to Evansville Hospital and being well taken care of! Don’t see how this place is even open anymore it’s just a band-aid station nothing more these days, yes there are SOME and I mean some by very few and far between nurses and doctors that actually care and want to help."

"I worked there for 8.5 years and some good some bad. In February 2023 my brother and I had a wreck. A postal vehicle ran a stop sign and hit us causing us to hit a guide wire. The car was totaled. I was okay but my brother was hurting. They took him to Deaconess Henderson. They examined him and sent him home. He died 2 days later from internal bleeding. Had they ran more tests they could have seen this and he would be alive today. I have no faith in their emergency room. They should have kept him overnight for observation.We can't sue the government and the hospital has more money than we do.I miss him everyday. have seen this and"

"Waited in the ER for 3 hours and ended up leaving because they were taking people back that had been there 10 minutes. When I asked to speak to someone in charge they told me no they were so rude and hateful. I will never take my child back to this place. Although I will say when I went a few weeks ago I had a nurse name Chastity I think her last name is Scott is what she told me and she was great. She treated me great and was so kind and made sure I was comfortable she is the only reason they even get a two star rating."

"I’ve just been told that some bigwig at Deaconess “fired” one of the finest doctors in Henderson. He wasn’t even allowed the normal 90 days so that patients didn’t suffer. Apparently, they only care about money, and taking away Doctor’s rights to care for their patients. Sad day for Henderson, very sad day. This Dr was an amazing, caring, man. He was a Dedicated Dr to my family and we are now going to have to scramble to find a capable Dr who isn’t afraid of the money machine that is the Deaconess system"

"One star reviews aren't leading for no reason. This hospital is overall terrible. Nurses are generally good but the Dr's aren't. Deaconess in Henderson share the same values, low quality care as Methodist hospital (same location, was bought out by Deaconess recently). The Dr's will drug you and send you about your way BEFORE asking are you any better.. while being unresponsive after running hard on your chest and body for you to answer a question. If you go to the ER and have Dr Hoffman, you will know exactly what I mean. If you need immediate medical attention, do whatever you have to do to go to Evansville for care. Rather it's Ascension or Deaconess. Deaconess (specifically on Henderson) have real internal problems that seem impossible to be fixed. Again, the 1 star reviews on here are valid and a true reflection of this hospital. I would not recommend ANYONE to go there unless it's a minor problem you have (ex cold/flu, outpatient care services). NOTHING HAS CHANGED in terms of customer service and caring for ill patients"
