"Dr. Habeeb is a wonderful doctor. He has helped me for several years and is always patient and very kind. He actually listens and spends time during each appointment to go over everything."
"I made an appointment a month ago to see Dr. Habeeb. I got a call less than an hour before my appointment that the man was going to be late due to car problems. I asked what the next available appointment was and was told another month away. I told the receptionist that it was hard enough to get the day off and that I had already waited an entire month for this first appointment. I asked if there was any other way I could get an earlier appointment or a different doctor. She told me I may come in and wait to see if he shows up. During this conversation the receptionist has the nerve to ask me what medication I was trying to get the man to prescribe me. I responded respectfully throughout the entire conversation even after being asked such a person and just plain rude question. I show up and within 10 minutes of my appointment time Dr. Habeeb walks through the door. As I’m filling out paperwork he walks into the office and accuses me of “bulling” his receptionist. And that he wouldn’t be “dictated into prescribing medications” may I mention again that I WAS THE ONE ASKED RUDELY WHAT MEDICATION I WAS LOOKING TO BE PRESCRIBED OVER THE PHONE BY THE SAME RECEPTIONIST I SPOKE TO IN PERSON. After both me and the receptionist tell him none of that happened he (clearly embarrassed) told me he couldn’t see me. He wouldn’t even look me in the eyes as he half apologized (I guess for being wrong?). I at least got more of an apology from the receptionist than from the doctor. It was the absolute most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my entire life. Especially from someone in the medical field. So much for a consular. He seems like he could use some help himself."
"Great counseling service. Never a long wait. The staff makes me feel right at home. Couldn't recommend Alabama counseling more highly. Have referred many friends and colleagues who have been very happy at Alabama Counseling for many years. I saw some negative reviews and I dont discount anyone else's experience but felt I should share my own as Dr. Habeeb has really helped me keep my life on track."
"Val Little, I have to agree. Mildred even went as far as speak about another patient to me! (One they were letting go.) I missed a lot of appointments because I have a mental illness which sadly often makes me sick and I also have fibromyalgia. I lost a very dear friend in December then unexpectedly lost my father in February, my uncle passed, then my former mother in law a week after that then my mother in law a week after then after that my grandmother all of this made it impossible for me to function, going to funerals alone was a challenge. They should understand what major depression does to you and should get it. Mildred often tried to get me to find another Dr. because I live far away but, I didn't want to find another Dr. because I was already established and getting newly established is a pain and also mentally traumatic. Plus I liked the small office. Mildred has always been very rude and short with me. I was recently told that they are no longer going to see me even though Dr. Habeeb has me on 2 mg of Klonipin twice a day and I'm supposed to find a new Dr. in time to help me wean down from that since they gave me one prescription so I have less than a month to find a new Dr. and new patient appointments don't come that quickly. My insurance is changing in January and I asked that they just keep me at least until my new insurance kicked in so that I can find a new Dr. but, no compassion there, not their problem... I was told this was purely a FINANCIAL decision because they were losing money because of me. And that they are losing money altogether. I thought they were in the business of mental health care. They left me hanging. It's all about the bottom line and dollar to this office. What happened to "do no harm"? They could have at the very least given me enough refills of my meds to get me to another Dr. and offered to help find me one closer to where I live but they simply don't care. I would never recommend this office to anyone that needs compassion and care, especially if Mildred is the office manager. She has zero compassion. And as I said she broke HIPPA laws and spoke about another patient to me."
"Wanted to give a zero; however it doesn't exit. I was a patient for 10 years, but after continous lack of organization, a change in ownership (because a doctor left), no reminder appt calls, doctor losing my paperwork, and rude receptionist, it was time to find a new doctor. I requested my medical records and was told to sign a release. Upon arrival, I walk in to the doctor and receptionist speaking about me. Very unprofessional and rude. Both are old and very forgetful. This practice will stress you out and take your money. DO NOT go here!"
