"Ascension billing system is the worst! I had my chest X-ray done last June 14, 2023. I paid in full with my credit card and didn’t use any insurance. The lady who took my payment at the time of service said that’s all I’m paying for an outpatient visit. A month later, I got a bill from Summit Radiology. There was two identical fee which I had to explained to them that I was only there 1 time and there should just be one bill. They fixed it and I paid the bill. Six months later, Ascension sent me a bill and said that I owe $246. I called their customer support and spoke to someone outside the US. I was on the phone for a while because they’re trying to figure out why my payment was not showing. The guy said that they will be looking into it and he had me email them the proof of payment I received from Ascension in North Vernon. A month later, I got the same bill and said it was past due. I called customer support again and spoke to someone outside of the US. I was on the phone with them again for a while and they’re trying to figure out again why the payment is not reflecting on their end. I explained that I emailed them the proof of payment. I have been dealing with this issue and up to now, it has not been resolved. Multiple emails have been sent regarding the payments and I’ve attached proof of payments. Since I have not received any updates, I called again to follow up. Once again, they have not resolved the issue and the customer support (which is based outside the US) told me to call the hospital in North Vernon to inquire about the chest X-ray performed last June. I tried calling the hospital and the lady just forwarded my call to the same customer support that was based outside the US. When I spoke to them, they said that they are trying to validate the payment and to give them 6 days to do that. I am fed up with the constant phone calls and emails regarding this issue. They should have done the validation of payment months ago. It is frustrating to have to deal with this issue over and over again. I may need to consult a professional regarding this issue."
"I had been having terrible stomach pains and projectile vomiting multiple times in a row. This had happened to many times over a year and a half. I had seen a specialist and family doctor. One day it got to the point in which I couldn't take it any longer. I went to the E.R. and begged the doctor not to pump me full of meds and send me home where tomorrow I would wake up and still be miserable. He told me it wasn't the E.Rs place to diagnose me and that he couldn't do anything but pump me ful of pills. I even told him I couldn't do it anymore I couldn't wake up another day throwing my guts up. He sent home and as soon as I got home my body locked up and I called 911. When the ambulance got there they told me my body went into metabolic acidosis. I told them I just came from the hospital so they called the doctor I had seen and he told them to NOT bring me back. The next day I went to columbus E.R. where they diagnosed me with c.diff!!!"
"We were treated very unprofessional by a night shift nurse Amanda Hammon rolling of eyes and walking away when we had questions I feel she could do better and if not maybe she needs another job cause patient care is not her Forte"
"Don’t go here for an emergency. My 5 year old has severe stomach pain and we sat in the ER waiting room for 2 hours on a Wednesday night with no one else waiting and we had to leave and go to Columbus because they weren’t in any hurry to help my son! Take down your “emergency “ sign. You are far from an ER! Despicable! **UPDATE....My son ended up needed surgery on his kidney. The pain we went to the ER for ended up being stage 4 hydronephrosis. If you feel you need emergency help, go elsewhere! not here."
"This was the first virtual doctor visit I had ever had, and I felt it was quite productive. I discussed switching antidepressants with my doctor, having switched earlier this year and second-guessing that earlier move, and she was extremely understanding. She gave me helpful instructions on how to wean from one to the other, so that gave me the ability to move forward with the process."
