"Timely, friendly, professional and medically competent. Best of all no waiting. Thanks!"
"Being in a lot of pain & having to travel just over an hour, I was concerned about all of the poor reviews. I was afraid I'd only make my situation worse. Yet, from the phone call I made to verify urgent care hours, personnel at gate, front staff as you enter, nurse, doctor & UC staff, x-ray staff, those I dealt with in ophthalmology, travel, & pharmacy, not one person fit any of the negative feedback. I was seen in minimal time each area. Might not have been as busy as it was for those bad reviews. Doctor spent a lot of time with me & everyone was courteous, attentive, & respectful. We were there only about 3 hours for all I mentioned. My experience was 5 star."
"I'm a Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veteran. My back is jacked up from Iraq. It has gotten worse over the yrs. I started going to the VA Marion campus in 2010. They kept refusing to do an MRI for yrs stating that I was "too young to be having pain". I was 30 then. Fast forward to 2021 and finally got an MRI. Turns out...my L1 and L2 in my spine are touching. For yrs they have put me on meds that didn't work including the Meloxicam garbage I take now. I go into my appointments and it's a joke. They check your blood pressure, ask if u are suicidal or want to hurt ppl, rate ur pain and then the doctor just checks my heart and lungs. Asks if the meds I am taking are working. I reply no and he says see u in six months...have a good day. At my appts the doctor just talks about himself. They just get u in and get u out. Then repeat it six months later. I'm 41 yrs old now,in severe pain. They recommended surgery and I'm still waiting on that surgery date. It's so bad there I rather pay cash and see a civilian doctor. The staff are also rude most of the time. They treat u as if ur lying or ur some junkie looking for a fix. I truly hate going to the VA."
"Just absolute apathetic people who don’t care. My husband has severe Bipolar 1 with Psychosis. We are out of state for a memorial and we accidentally forgot his meds. We called the emergency line once we realized and asked for them to just fill one day prescription to a pharmacy. Basically they wouldn’t do it and said they couldn’t help. They have history of every hospitalization & every time they’ve have to give him shots to bring him out of psychosis. I would think knowing this they would immediately send him a one day emergency prescription, but instead the response is drive to a facility 3 hrs away or spend hours in an urgent care when they have no idea who he is or his medical history. I never in my life imagined that the VA would really treat a veteran like this, but they do. It’s absolute trash."
"The rent a cops at the front are very unprofessional! Not wearing their masks and learning on the barrier playing on their phones and can never get their act right. The majority of the employees at this VA are very unprofessional and rude and could care less about taking care of the Veterans. I was told by my old provider “I don’t know what to do with you your a girl” and his nurse cussed at me when I was asking for help after having surgery. The people that work the front desk at pack team I and A are horrible and don’t wanna do their job! They will lie through their teeth just to make it look like it’s the vets fault when it’s not! This place is such a joke! The only good think is my provider now. She’s great and so is her nurse."
