Reviews of Veterans Memorial Coliseum
"I recently attended a local movie premiere at this venue. This was my first time attending an event at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. It's nice little venue with a lot of history. Many music legends have performed here decades ago. Legends such as Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, as well as hard rock legends like Kiss, Golden Earring, Black Sabbath and Van Halen to name a few. Anyway I enjoyed the movie premiere at the Coliseum."
"I came here for roller derby. The game itself was great but sitting in the balcony area is rough. First of all, the stairs to get up there are a bit steep. Second, there are NO RAILINGS to get down to your seats and the stairs there are even steeper. Third, unless you sit in the front row, you cannot see all the action. And finally, there is very little leg room. I'm 5'8" and I felt like my legs were going to fall asleep. Get here early and grab a front row seat or just sit downstairs. Also, the ladies bathroom was very clean but the lefthand faucet wasn't working and the middle faucet sprayed water everywhere."
"They have like 2000 people for this concert, and only 2 people giving out wrustbands to get into the ticket check line. There's 5 mibutes until the show starts and I have to wait in a line that wraps around the building to get a wristband to get in line. If I miss part of the show I'm asking for a refund."
"Bingo on Friday nights at the Coliseum is amazing. There were several nice ladies around me that helped me figure out what I was doing. I got a whole entire bingo sheet for $15. That lasted all the way from 6-10 pm. I'm glad this building is in line for renovations because it's definitely a crown jewel of downtown."
"Obviously one heck of a bingo hall, but works for other events as well. Large open space and architecture has a great vibe."
