"Was inpatient one night after total hip replacement. From check-in to checkout, I had a good experience Nursing staff professional with good bedside manner. Dr Puri orthopedic surgeon top notch. After discharge had issue a 2- 3 days later with jaw pain,and oral gum swelling. Went to dentist and he found that my lower gum had injury. The gum tissue was damaged with a small opening and swelling present exposing the jaw bone. He stated probably occurred during the intubation by anesthesia. I came to learn that anesthesiologists are supposed to do an oral check prior to surgery to check for missing teeth or gum abnormalities. This was not done to me prior to surgery. I had missing teeth in the back, and if he was aware, hopefully, would of been careful with the insertion of the endo trache tube. Never did a check. Prior to surgery, he just introduced himself , and never explained anything. All he said everything will be fine." Fortunately my gum and exposed bone healed on its own but was very painful for over 2 weeks and had to be on antibiotics. Prior to surgery, I had no dental issues. Talked to the anesthiology department, but they never acknowledged it could of been a possibility or accepted any accountability."

"Got transferred to their line after an extension of the company rang through for the fourth time (terrible practice for those who are already fighting themselves to reach out, if they're trying to only field voicemails). Was greeted with a very snarky "This is the Hospital", after apologizing they just hung up. No explanation needed as to how unprofessional that was. Obviously this ladies job is a direct representation of the company but there's no need to take it out on others, especially those reaching out for any form of help."
