"Have no complaints other than the doctor that I seen. Dr. Erik Frost has no right to be employed as a doctor. In 4 hours I seen the man twice. 1st time he asked all the same questions I had answered at the front desk and with the nurse. Then after waiting for 3 hours he came back to tell me "he doesn't know what's causing my symptoms" but "it's none of the bad things". Then goes on to tell me to take ibuprofen and tylenol and make a follow up with my Primary Doctor. I was seen for chest pain that's making it hard to breathe. Considering you people are going to charge me thousands to be here, the least you could do is do a thorough job. Was never tested for infections, no one ever explained why my ray result says my lung is collapsed. No one even went of my blood results, that clearly say my QBC count is up. What a joke. Bet you'll still expect t your bill to be paid though."
"This is the place for caring, kind, knowledgeable staff and superb cleanliness. I have been in the ER and on several floors of this hospital more times than I would have liked, but I was always impressed with the level of service and care. I only found 1 rude ER nurse at the admittance desk and her supervisor dealt with her when we let them know of her demeanor. Other than that the doctors, nurses, staff, social workers, janitorial and leadership needs to be commended for their consistency and compassion shown to all. Keep up the good work and training."
"It hurts me to see all of the negative reviews here. They made me terrified to send my mother here! …However, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves!! “Crushed chips on the table”?…really?? Entitled much?? I watched nothing but dedicated, hard-working, respectful doctors, nurses and extended staff care for my mother 24/7. I even tried to intentionally look for errors and found…wait for it…NONE! We are implants from the North Shore of Chicago. If anyone comes from an “entitled” area, we do and this hospital runs rings around the entire NorthShore Health System, Advocate Health and like like ANY DAY! It is clear staffing is an issue everywhere. Don’t like it? Send your kids off to nursing and/or med school. It’s a universal problem. There was absolutely no issue with the food service either. I’m a picky eater and even the chopped up food my mom was served due to her health issues smelled and looked appetizing. I would have gladly eaten it myself. Before “y’all” go bashing Fransiscan, go spend a day or two at “Cook County”, or many other hospitals currently struggling in the current money-grabbing medical hierarchies of our day. No one is perfect, and I’m sure Fransiscan follows suit in varying situations. People are people. People have bad days. People err. But overall, in the current climate, both Dyer (where my mom currently has been and continues to be inpatient…INCLUDING THE ER), and Crown Point (where my daughter recently gave birth) get FIVE stars in our book!"
"Waiting time is entirely to long. They brought me to the back room have me sign all the paperwork for payment, then have me wait for hours with no one checking on me. Have a patient in the next room in extreme pain begging staff for service or pain medicine which he have been told for 3 hours to be patient while I can hear staff throughout the hallway with personal conversation and loud outbursts of laughter. The staff have no sense of urgency or empathy. No staff have been back in the room to check on me within 4 hours. This will be my last visit to this Emergency Room. On the chart date 5/16/2023 the actual date is 5/18/2023. This shows blatant inconsistency and the lack of professionalism."
