About Us
The Haven is a no-kill animal shelter located at 559 South Section Street in Fairhope, Alabama, United States. Recognized for having one of the highest save rates in the state, The Haven provides shelter and finds adoptive homes for abused, neglected, and homeless animals. They work with local open admission animal control shelters to pull animals that are scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding, illness, or injuries. The Haven does not take animals from the general public, but they do offer assistance with re-homing pets through their foster program.
Since becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2001, The Haven has worked tirelessly to provide veterinary care, rehabilitation, and love to orphaned pets in need. All animals are spayed or neutered, receive necessary vaccinations, and are micro-chipped before being placed in a loving home. Adoption fees are $125 for cats and $175 for dogs, with each animal coming with 30 days of free pet health insurance.
The Haven relies on volunteers for support and fundraising efforts, hosting events such as pet photo contests, benefit luncheons, and pet adoption events. Donations are always appreciated and tax-deductible, as The Haven continues to work towards a society where loving animals are not disposable.
