"The part I'm familiar with is the IRS part of the building. You'll have to go through an airport-like security check to enter the building. They help people with their taxes but they no longer stock the variety of forms that you may need. They cater to the Federal part; for the CT taxes, you have to go to the CT DRS on Columbus Blvd. Even they don't carry that many of the printed forms. Usually, there are paid parking spaces available on the street."
"The wait time was fast and orderly and the staff was very professional and patient and took care of the request that I was there for."
"When to made changes to my SS card, everyone was friendly and helpful."
"I went to the Social Security office with my daughter, and this is their new location from where they used to be downtown by the community college Capital, this location is way way better more room a lot cleaner I mean, even the bathroom was very clean for the most part I mean there was like somebody’s clothes in there. It seemed like somebody changed and left their clothes in there, but that wasn’t much of an issue. I enjoyed being in that building they had security in the front immediately when you walk in with The metal detectors or what not. Make you take everything off as far as bookbags purse anything in your pockets and stuff like that put it in a box they put that through the little x-ray belt thing and then you walk through the metal detectors and the Social Security office right when you walk out the metal detectors to the left all the way down the hallway to the right. I got there around 9:45 and when I got my ticket I was ticket number A543 when I sat down They were already on a A540. However, I did still take them about a half an hour to 40 minutes to call me after I got called the lady was Super Duper nice. She assisted me with all my questions and it was just an overall good experience."
"Our visit here was ok for my wife who had an issue to resolve here but for me a total pain in the "bleep". Safety is of course ok but I had to go thru a metal detector that saw me take off my belt (" hold up my pants"),take off my shoes that were steel toe, empty my pockets including my wallet, the only upside to this was that the state police working the metal detector were nice and courteous."
