Reviews of Potawatomi Wildlife Park, Tippecanoe, Indiana
"Great place to visit alone, with a friend or in a group. Lots to see and do."
"It is beautiful here! There are trails to hike and several ponds and picnic spots. Also, it would be a great place for family or senior pictures. There is also kayak rental which we hope to take advantage soon!"
"They no longer allow you on the observing field after 1 AM, which during the summer makes it basically useless, except for a few days a month around the new moon, you have to be out of there well before the moon sets and you can only observe planets which I can do from Indianapolis where I live,. They turned off power to the observing field. I feel like they should no longer say they are a dark sky Park. They have motion sensitive lights that face the observing field that turn on every time an animal runs past. If I could give them zero stars, I would give them zero stars. As far as the nature reserve part of it, they preserve a lot of mosquitoes, but I have not seen much other wildlife while there."
"Very nice property with wide trails and pretty views alongside the Tippecanoe River. Great spot for a 2-4 mile walk and really beautiful in the fall."
"Most amazing little walk there is around here. There is a Bald eagle who hangs out here and we take our dogs walking every sunday. We kayak past it a lot and stop to eat lunch. As you can tell our dogs love it just as much, they come home and are sleeping the rest of the day.. they have a nice man made creek that is perfect for them to swim in an play! So much wildlife is one area. You can watch the carp roll all day in the big pond."
