"They have a garbage picker for room service who spies on guests and enters without knocking before check out."

"I haven't stayed in a place this bad in decades, but keep in mind that I usually stay in three-star hotels. I stayed here because I wanted to stay in Starke County to avoid COVID-19, Knox is the largest village in Starke County, and this is the only lodging in Knox. The manager was nice enough to suggest that I look at the room before committing. I told her it's not great, but that I'd stay. I don't expect much from a property like this. I know that they have to keep costs down. But there was no excuse not to sweep and mop the floor, which was filthy. I was happy that the bugs found in the room were dead, nothing crawling. You might let in a fly if you leave the door open. After the first night (I stayed for three), I found a piece of bread on my car. Thankfully, it had attracted only flies, not bird. Most of the people at the hotel are residents, very poor people. I understand the bread to be a message, that I, a software engineer (I'll let you guess my salary), didn't belong there. Poverty is excusable, but there's no excuse for being a lowlife. I survived the three nights. Starke County is nice. Super Value Inn is not. Although I wasn't looking for the cost savings, $180 for three nights was a pleasant reward for enduring this place."
"Cheap motel, I would not call this an INN. If you don't mind getting a room in a place known to have had meth labs in them go ahead stay here. The place is outdated, and fairly maintained. It has been for some time a place known to many people as a home not just a room. Sad for those that have tried this place. The rooms are over priced for what they offer. Go elsewhere it's worth the extra money to not stay here."
