"There was many black stain on the 3-4 pillows. Front desk clerk gave the new ones but with no talk and no smile. He was rude even did not look up our face. Air vents in elevators and front desk blow the smell of weed. Sofa bed was dirty and sheets was smelling not cleaned. There are another stains on the desk, coffee table and sofa bed. The mattress in sofa bed was like a joke so very thin and smell bad. AC was noisy and hallways looked like in an apartment building. Do not believe the photos. Because only outside looks nice."
"To start off, my room was not ready when I arrived. I waited patiently, I wasn't too bummed out because it was just me and I didn't have plans until later that night, but it was still not a great start to my trip. The rooms are very large and clean. I have stayed here before. There is a lounge open from 3:00 to 10 daily with a TV viewing area and a pool table. The next problem I have is every time I have been at this hotel the breakfast is lacking. They either seem to not stock the breakfast well or they run out way before the closing time and they do not replenish. There were empty trays. When I got to breakfast, there was no juice, I was waiting for coffee to be replenished."
"Each of the front desk employees I encountered were helpful and courteous. We arrived early and they were very kind when arranging to hold our luggage. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We did try out the hotel restaurant when in need of a quick bite to eat. Food was pretty standard, it gets the job done. There are conveniently located bus and train stops nearby, making trips into the city easy and affordable. Stayed here for an event at the United Center, which was within walking distance. Hotel is a bit pricey but I figure just about any place near the city would be as well. All in all I enjoyed the stay."
"Fantastic location and the staff was excellent. I enjoyed the attentive staff and their willingness to help. The rooms were clean and spacious, as was the rest of the hotel. Here is what I did not like. The rooms were cold, uninviting, and noisy. No carpet or window treatments to absorb sound. You can hear other guests TV's and weird vibration sounds from the floor below all night long which caused a lot of sleep deprivation. The constant sirens from the street didn't bother me so much, it was the other stuff. In addition, the fan in my bathroom would unexplainably whirl up then turn off at odd times throughout the day and night. I felt safe here and the breakfast was adequate. I hope the $20 a day parking fee went to the cleaning staff because they do a good job."
"I would not recommend this hotel. The service was terrible. The hotel staff were among the least enthusiastic or welcoming I have ever seen in my many years of travel experiences. They look bored, indifferent, and not caring at all. There must be some serious management issues in the hotel. When I checked in and unpacked on my first day of arrival, I found the bed sheet was stained and had dirt on it, which made me doubt whether it was changed from the last guest. I requested to change the room and asked if someone could help me move. The front desk lady was not apologetic or surprised at all, but simply said that they had nobody to help me to move. So I had to repack all my stuff and move myself. When I got to the new room, I found that the toilet seat cover looked like that in a public bathroom, and there were no bath towels. It was late at night and I was too tired to go down to the front desk to make the request again-- no one picked up the front desk line anyway. The next day when I came back I saw that the room was not made up. Again, no one picked up the phone, so I had to go down stairs to the front desk. I also need to get new shower towels. The young man told me that I had to request room makeup the night before because they are short on staff, and that the note was printed in the welcome letter placed in the room. No one told me that I need to request room makeup when I checked in the last night. Also, does anyone actually read those welcoming letters? I only remembered that the letter says "we are committed to provide you services exceeding your expectations". It now sounded like a joke. When I told the young man at the front desk about what I remembered about the letter, he looked annoyed. Certainly no services exceeded my expectations. My expectations for Hyatt will be seriously lower from now on."
