"Really nice facility. I don't understand the complaints about space. The place is massive. Tons of equipment, I don't ever remember having to wait for something to open up. Locker rooms are nice and always clean. It is expensive for a gym but they do have a veterans discount which drops it to a reasonable price (for me). One complaint is the staff aren't very proactive about enforcing the rules. I don't want to see shirtless dudes working out and I do have to put weights away sometimes from other people leaving their stuff out but the staff ignores this stuff when they see it. My other issue is they close pretty early on Fridays so I feel like I have to rush through my workout by the time I get there after work."

"$48 a month this place is an embarrassment. This current facility is a downgrade from your older facilities. The Y member now is paying more for less space and product. Whoever designed and built your basketball courts did a terrible, horrible job designing it and building it. I think the YMCA now is all for profit and you say you do things for the community but I think that’s a Fugazi. Certain areas of Evansville have only gotten worse since this Y was built. You can’t even offer your members towels. For somebody that’s over 6 feet your pool at 3 feet is infuriating, it used to be 12 feet deep. I don’t buy your corporate response. I know for a fact there are other members of this downtown YMCA that feel this way also. With all that you said that still doesn’t justify $48 a month that doesn’t provide members towels I would have gladly paid $100 a month for the older facilities. I didn’t even mention your locker rooms and how uncomfortably bad they were designed. It’s gonna be 34,999 members locally cause I will most likely cancel my membership that I have had since I was a child at the downtown YMCA."

"This place is wonderful. It's HUGE. Pool, hot tub, steam room, indoor tracks, extensive collection of cardio and strength training equipment, boxing studio, basketball courts, tennis/pickle ball (what?!), tons of classes, lots of well-designed areas for children and teens....even the locker rooms are awesome. Friendly and helpful staff here as well. Matt in particular is my hero. He might be president someday. A real one, not just some media nightmare. I love this place."
