Reviews
"As a photographer I like this place very much! I like to explore every historical place and this one inspired me with a bold and unique woman, who was an owner of this place! I really enjoyed and recommend to visit."
"This is a hidden gem in Manhattan!! Charlie, the docent, was so sweet and informative. This house has an incredible history dating back to the Revolutionary War and the story of the owner, Mrs. Eliza Jumel, is fascinating. If you have an hour to kill, highly recommend coming!"
"The Morris-Jumel Mansion is a beautiful gem hidden in Manhattan. The mansion may look a bit rough on the outside (it is currently being restored and they can always use donations) but the inside is a beautifully restored mid 1700s mansion that is oozing with history. My partner and I were very pleased with the quality of the museum as well as the attentiveness of the staff to making sure guests have a good experience. The museum does very well with its limited resources and the home is furnished very much to the period. I highly recommend supporting this museum so it can continue to get better and better!"
"Excellent haunted tour! Gorgeous place to visit during the day as well. Beautiful grounds, like stepping back in time. Say hello to the resident feral cats!"
"Exceptional recreation of upper class life in NY 400 years ago. Be sure to visit the unique block of identical historical town houses immediately to the west"
