Reviews
"If you're a Grainger fan (i.e. band director, pianist, composer, etc.), you'll enjoy the visit to the home where he and his wife, Elsa, lived the last few decades of their lives. The home, and its contents are as eccentric as it's celebrated but quirky resident. You'll see some of Grainger's photos sitting about - many of famous contemporaries, stacks of his music, rooms where he played and wrote music, and much more. Our tour guide, Mark Grant, was awesome. He's a composer and music author himself so he was able to provide both musical and historical insight. Highly recommended!"
"I only found out that Grainger's house was here 3 days before I came to visit a friend in White Plains. The secretary of the Grainger society gave me a personal tour and - amazingly - invited me to play the piano! I enjoyed the visit, despite the cold (they leave the heat off in winter). I hope to be back some day, better prepared and in warmer weather!"
