"The Best Lifts and Nicest Wheelchair Accessible Vans"
"This is a great place if you are looking for honest factory work. They augment vans for special needs and handicaps. That kind of job makes the world a better place"
"I've purchased several vans from Mobility Works in Chicagoland area. I'm happy with Mobility Works it's BraunAbility that I'm disappointed with. My last purchase a Voyager 2022 was less then a year ago, now. This is a commercial product that obviously was retrofitted to service people in wheelchairs and is very expensive. The first time that I went to use the rear passenger seat, it didn't work. I also, noticed there was a crack in the plastic right under the seat that's broken. So, I made an appointment to bring it into Mobility Works and I told them about the seat and the crack in the plastic . Unfortunately, I had to cancel several of my appointments due to business. This is the place I take my van to get serviced every 6 months or so to keep the van in good running order. This new van only has 7,500 miles on it, right now. Mobility Works looks at it and said, they would have to reach out to BraunAbility about the crack. Employee calls me from Mobility and said, BraunAbility won't cover the crack because it's not on warranty but, they will cover the seat. I reached out to Braunability myself thinking that I could get them to cover this. Especially, since when I only have a 7,500 miles, and purchased 2 vehicles. While I was at Mobility, one of the employees said, hi and asked if I needed anything. I told him that I looking to get the seat and a crack in the plastic fixed that is right under the seat. His response was, oh I 've been that happen before. After emailing Alex Windbigler, Customer Experience Group-Senior Case Manager several times and sending him photos of the issue. I'm told that they don't cover cosmetic damage. Cosmetic damage is not covered under warranty, as it is caused by use. Again, at the time I only had 5,000 miles the seat never worked from the beginning and I'm the only driver. It's not from use, it's been defected from the beginning. Looks like the plastic is made cheaper than my first van. I told Alex how unhappy I was this is his response. I'm sorry for your dissatisfaction. If I have anything that proves that this crack was there prior to taking delivery, he's be happy to consider making a one-time exception. I responded that when I picked up the van, that I was excited and asked Drew to show me how it works. This van had more bell and whistles and I was interested in knowing how it worked. I never even looked at the rear seat of van because, I didn't realize it could have an issue already. Needless to say, that I guess I'll have to pay to get it fixed. Shame on Braunability for not taking responsibility. When I called Mobility Works to make an appointment to get the seat fix. He was embarrassed that Braunability didn't cover the crack. He said, when he originally called Braunability he told them that he has seen cracks come in on new unused vehicles. Buyers BEWARE!! BraunAbility doesn't believe in customer service."
"We purchased a new 2021 Chevy Traverse for my wife who is permanently in a wheelchair and had it modified by Braunability. The car and modifications cost over $80k. We have had nothing but trouble with the door and ramp for the last two years. The kneeler chain has broken and had to be replace three times. The ramp has had to be fixed several times for not working correctly. The worst part is the door. It has a had to be fixed multiple times for not opening or closing correctly. It has had problems with bolts and bearings breaking, sensors not working, not opening so that my wife would be stuck in the car until someone could come and let her out, and randomly opening. This past week she was driving and turned a corner and the door slid completely open. Luckily no one tried to pass her and hit the door. When she turned a corner the door slid shut, thankfully. This could have been much worse if she had been in the highway. The guys at the service dealer are great and very helpful, but we could not be more unhappy with the performance of the Braunability product. Last week we had to spend almost $1000 to get the kneeler chain fixed again and for labor to fix the broken bolts in the door so it would close properly and not fly open while being driven. I can’t imagine the amount of money we will have to spend in the future to fix this car because we sure don’t have $80000 to buy another car."
"Two words..STELLAR COMPANY! These people truly care about what they do and why and who. They do so much for disabled people and give so much of their time improving the quality of life for disabled people. I recently met some of the team and toured the plant and they truly are top-notch. I don't understand why the negative reviews and why you'd leave a negative review regarding your braun dealer even on here....this is for the factory that makes and installs the mobility conversions. If you have an issue with service dealer...go find their page to post your hateful rude comments. This company is fantastic!!!"
