"I have my two daughters enrolled, and I am so thankful for that. All the staff there is helpful and supportive. I am so glad that my kids love going there every day. In the beginning, my little one was nervous and made me worry about that. Then, because all the staff there is professional, they have supported both of us, so my daughter has been adjusting so well. My daughters and I are so pleased to be in this amazing center."
"Words cannot explain how much the FDC has done for my children. My children have been going to the fdc since they were infants. Now they are in the before and after school program. Also I have a daughter in the infants and toddlers program. My children have learned to communicate verbal skills, work well with peers, learned to develop an advancement of fine and gross motor skills, and so much more. The fdc community is a loving and welcoming place not just for the children but parents as well. I absolutely love the fdc and encourage any and everyone to attend."
"My children have attended the FDC for a few years now and they love the teachers/administrators there because everyone is so nice! They tell me that the teachers help them and they have fun learning new things. I love the atmosphere, friendly people and the level of respect they show the children as well as the parents! Highly recommended!"
"I highly recommend the Family Development Center!!! Michael was born a preemie and it was very apparent in his first year of life that he was developing some delays. When Michael was about 6 months old, we started with one of the teachers coming to our house to give me advice on how to get him to reach his milestones. He started going to school at 12 months old. They assisted me in getting him evaluated for different therapies and he qualified for Physical Therapy, Developmental Therapy, then later for Speech Therapy through Early Intervention. Michael's progress has been enormous!!! He talks, plays, runs, and loves to jump. He can even count objects up to 10. They assisted him in potty training, he was potty trained during the day at 2.5 years old (30 months) and stopped wearing diapers at night by 32 months old, that's no more diapers!!! His teachers are completely amazing, so loving and caring. I am writing this review towards the end of the quarantine from covid-19 and I can tell you for a fact that Governors State's Family Development Center has helped my son so much. He struggles without the structure and friends he has made at the program. I wish I could say that I could have raised my son on my own and he would have turned out just as good but I know now, it's the teachers!!! Michael had an evaluation done by the school district to see if he needed special education for preschool since he was in Early Intervention. Michael is average or above average in every category they tested him in! Thank you Governors State Family Development Center!!!"
