"I am so grateful to Bright Beginner’s Academy for taking such great care of my daughter! I was so nervous for her to start but the staff made her so comfortable that she LOVES going. I also really liked how knowledgable the staff was on children’s development. Everyone is very kind and welcoming."
"My daughter had a fantastic experience here! Kelly, their amazing director, was always willing to answer any questions I had and always made sure the facility was running wonderfully. My daughter was happy every single day she went to Bright Beginner's Academy. I would highly recommend this daycare! :-)"
"This is the best daycare around. My daughter has gone here for 2 years now, and I can't say enough good things! Miss Kallie is the best teacher, and my daughter tells everyone she wants to be a teacher because of the great staff! Miss Amy goes above and beyond for all the kids in her class, and I'm so excited for my daughter to go to her class! The director Kelly and the assistant director are always there to ask any questions, and I can't stress on how much this daycare does! If your questioning where to send your kid send them here!"
"I did previously leave a five star review (in 2019) but this place isn't the same as it used to be. There are a lot of frustration points that aren't getting resolved which accounts for the updated rating. First, I want to address the other google reviews. 6 out of 10 reviews are from employees or relatives of employees of BBA. Second, if you work a normal job with normal hours, you won't ever see the director. You won't receive progress reports for how your child is doing and you won't have any clue what they're learning. I have asked repeatedly for feedback, clues as to what they're learning (so we can go over the material at home) and for a small glimpse of the director or assistant director, even once a month. Nothing. I've made appointments to meet with Kelly and Angela who said they can come in early or stay late on occasion so the parents can ask them questions but it hasn't happened in over three years. They've also missed appointments with referrals. Third, the outdoor play area is a dirt pit. The "play area" is divided in half for young kids and older kids. When they moved buildings in 2020 we were told they would get sod. We waited. And waited. And finally, the younger kids' side did receive sod, but for years the older children played on the dirt which ruins clothing and shoes at a rapid rate. In 2022, I asked about sodding the other side and I was told it would happen soon. The entire summer went by without anything being done. Repeated inquiries were met with eye rolls although some teachers seemed honestly sympathetic that our children required bathing every single day after school to rid them from their dirt coating. We were told it would happen in the fall of 2022 and that didn't occur. Then we were told it would in the spring. That didn't happen until just a few weeks ago but they only sodded one side. Immediately, they switched the play sides and again, let the younger children play on the grass and moved the older kids over to the now-trampled side where the old sod used to be. My child is still playing in dirt and having her clothing ruined. Fourth, dietary restrictions: My child does have a dietary restriction which BBA said they'd honor, until I discovered that some teachers weren't following said restriction. One even even said, "well, it's only a little bit." This is dangerous negligence. Fifth, they use the Brightwheel app which should provide you with pictures, meals, and naps throughout the day. However, the teachers are so overwhelmed they don't have time to update the app. Sometimes no nap is listed when my child took one. Often, her breakfast and lunch aren't recorded. When they are, the food isn't correct. Sixth, payments: Recently, BBA switched services and now are charging parents for credit card use. They've put their business expense on us. Also, they're raising the rate price, regardless of the fact that their play area is causing us to have to purchase new clothing at a rapid rate. Seventh: Staff. It would be really wonderful if we received notice when a new teacher joined BBA. We're never told about it, ever. We just randomly see a new person in the room and have to guess if it's a parent or a teacher. I'm happy to move on to the good things about BBA: They have some excellent teachers. Amy, Emma and Kallie are absolutely outstanding. The children love them and it's obvious they love what they do. I cannot say enough positive compliments about these teachers. Kelly and Angela are also very kind (if you happen to see them). Although I don't know what my daughter is learning it, I do SEE that she is learning. (She's in the preschool room, which is 4 and 5 year olds.) Although Angela promised they were going to work on sight words and reading with my child (that didn't happen), she does know all fifty states, the days of the week, and the months of the year. For the most part, my daughter is also happy there, mainly because of the aforementioned teachers. That's why I'm only removing two stars."
"Both of my children attend BBA. Love the facility and all of the staff!"
