Reviews
"Nice place for history buffs to take a break on the east bound Thruway."
"One of the marvelous ways to experience a chunk of what once made upstate New York an economic empire. Friendly staff, informative center, and an experience that blends the canal within the buildings and structures that once contained the canal’s world."
"Plan to stop here... to find out more about the history of the Canals"
"The physical address for this entry is actually only a locked service entrance gate. All access to the site complex is thru the Port Byron Old Erie Canal Heritage Park and accessible from both the NYS Thruway I-90 Eastbound or off the Thruway at 1575 Rooker Dr, Port Byron, NY 13140. The location has a small museum and access to old Erie Canal Lock 52 & historic period buildings."
