Reviews of Residence Inn by Marriott Indianapolis Airport
"I stayed here for an engineering project from August 1st to December 18th, 2023. I completely enjoyed my stay. It's a very convenient location to downtown & other points of interest like restaurants, breweries & shops. The staff was great. Thank you Toni, Carrington, Kim, Shay & Cam for keeping track of all of my mail & packages, lol. I highly recommend this hotel & have been meaning to write a review."
"Tonight I checking into the hotel after working 16 hours. Shay greeted me at the front door by saying welcome. I then checked in and asked for a quiet room and she made sure to check and give me a room that was away from the noise. At this point it is 6pm and I asked her if I could please get some coffee and she fresh coffee still brewing which she brought out promptly. Some back ground on me - I stay in Hilton and Marriott properties 300 nights a year and worked at Hilton for 5 years. I never write reviews but the way Shay went above and beyond needed to be recognized!"
"Rather confusing to get into their parking lot, you have to turn into what looks to be the Waffle House go behind the building and then turn in. Hard to explain. The rooms were awesome. They're clean, large, and had a little kitchenette with dishes and a dishwasher. No complaints whatsoever about the room other than it was so hot even with the window open and the heat turned down and it being december. So we go down to Indiana (from Minnesota) every other year for a family reunion. It seems I have a horrible habit of always leaving something behind. Last time it was my cellphone. On the drive home I had called the hotel (Days Inn), explain what happened, and by the time we finally arrived back in Minnesota, my phone was already in our mailbox. When we went down there last Christmas, we stayed at this hotel, and I went to the local Walmart and purchased a Mrs Santa Claus dress costume. It was going to be perfect. Well, of course, I inadvertently left it hanging in the closet of our hotel room. We flew down there this time so I had to wait until we got home and unpacked to notice it was missing. It took 4 days of calling the hotel to ask about it. First they told me they didn't even have a record of our reservation, then they told me housekeeping said they had not found anything. Third time I had let them know that I had just purchased the outfit from the local Walmart and I have the receipt and pictures of me in the hotel wearing it. All of the sudden, lo and behold, they had found my dress. Now here is where the problem comes in. I asked them what needed to be done in order for me to get it back. The woman I spoke to was quite Curt and rude. She told me that she had sent my husband the information on how to retrieve the dress via email. I told her I was on the phone with her right now and if she could explain it to me. After a very loud and long sigh, she told me I would have to send her the shipping label of where I want it shipped to and of course I would have to pay for the shipping. No problem with that. Then she told me I had to arrange for the pickup. I asked her if they had a FedEx or UPS Drop Box anywhere, and she told me no so then I figured I would just go to the Post Office purchase the packaging for less than a 1 lb shipment, pay for the postage to have it shipped back, and then I would mail them the pre-paid package and they could just slip the dress in and when the mailman gets there hand him the package. Yeah so that was not going to work I was told. The mailman does not stop by the hotel. Now this is an extended stay hotel, and in my experience extended stay hotels allow guests to receive mail. So after pulling teeth, I was finally able to get her to give me their address. I would have looked it up online anyways. Long story even longer, I still don't have my dress and it has been almost 2 months now. So with the cost of the dress, the blinky light hat that my husband purchased to go with it, and postage, I'm out almost $75 and no dress or hat. The Marriott would always be my to go Hotel. However I will never again stay at the Marriott Hotel in Indiana at this is their customer service at its best. And I did not even get into the treatment once we did arrive at the hotel for the four days that we were there. My mom who had her own room, my brother and his wife who had their own room, my nephew who had his own room, and then my husband and I who had our own room. That's a lot of rooms to throw a fit about shipping me back my dress ($7 in shipping fees). Very very disappointed. Residence Inn by Marriott in Indianapolis Indiana, you have some major personal and hospitality work to do. Very disappointed. Naked Mrs. Santa Still waiting for my dress and hat."
"Tiffany was wonderful, kind, and very helpful - on top of that. the room was lovely and very clean. She and Liz from the Fairfield Inn across the street gave me such a positive experience tonight when i was in a bind that i can confidently say i will be a Marriott Bonvoy customer for life."
"Very noisy at times because of highway nearby. Can hear people in hallways while in your room. The people are nice and friendly. The beds are not very comfortable. I do like that i had a kitchen area with fridge and stove so I could cook while there. Pool is nice but wish it had steps going in instead of just ladders. Good if you need a quick place to stay. The continental breakfast wasn’t very good but really most hotels aren’t in my opinion."
