"Went to Gen. Washington's birthday celebration and tour of house complete with drum and fife concert. Excellent tour guides dressed in period costumes and very knowledgeable! Thanks for the insight to the beginnings of this great country!"
"It’s very beautiful but they won’t open back up until September 2 during the Labor Day holiday and they have a trail and it’s really steep lol"
"I enjoyed the tour of the house. Gary, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and the Revolutionary War, in general."
"Highly recommend you tour last Washington Headquarters of the Revolutionary War. Lisa was very informative. Excellent period pieces. Lovely home built in 1710. No photos allowed inside so you must go to see George Washington himself as a surprise."
"I've been passing by signs for this place the last 6 months. Finally made it a point to visit with the family. Five of my kids ages 6 to 20. Just a few miles from where we live and a totally different landscape. Beautiful! We did a 2pm tour with Lisa. She was very knowledgeable and animated. Which made a potential "boring" homeschool "field trip" more interesting for my 6yo. We arrived early so we took the trail at the side of the house to explore a bit of the D&R Canal."
