"Kimmel Park has been redone in recent years, which seems very sterile to me in comparison to the Kimmel Park of old. They do have a nice boat ramp & no doubt better lighting, so there's that. It will improve as the tree plantings mature. They have made good use of bald cypress trees, although I can't imagine why they didn't include the quintessential riverbank tree, the sycamore, which would be so stately & impressive. Worth note: they did retain some of the old WPA structures from the original park, showing at least a little sensitivity to Kimmel's original form."

"Loved it! Went in the evening time and there was a nice breeze! They have re-done it and it looks very nice! They have a sidewalk next to the river for walking! I recommend going and enjoying the river! Very calming!!"
