Reviews of World's Largest Rocking Chair
"When my cousin in Effingham suggested that we make a trip up to Casey to see the "Big stuff" I wasn't really sure what she meant. Anyway, on getting to this small town it became obvious. There is "Big stuff" everywhere. This was apparently the world's largest rocking chair. All good."
"Super cool to see. Park on Main Street and walk around town to see lots of World's Largest Things!!! The landscape around the town is very nice and enjoyable!"
"Casey IL where all things are made new. This town has really become a little gem in a largely rural area. Local business supporting the economy by improving a small town really makes a difference for this area. I grew up near here and didn't know it had become so welcoming to travelers."
"Fun, fun ,fun, fun, fun. Did I say it was FUN? This town has done it right! Since the main route of traffic was diverted to a new freeway years ago, the town began to lose business. Somewhere along the way, someone built the World's Largest Rocking Chair to attract tourists. It worked. Other town businesses joined the bandwagon. The fun part is driving through the town looking for "The World's Largest ______". We saw the WL Wind Chime, Key, Taco, #2 Pencil, Barber Pole, Bird Cage, Antlers, and even an adorable Purple house. We didn't find the WL mailbox, though. We will just have to come back. Did I mention it was Fun? Come and "find" out yourself."
"Casey is an awsome place to take the kids and wonder about searching for all the big things. We took a 3 1/2 hour drive with our granddaughter of 12 to visit the town. Great place to see. Really big stuff. We picked up z map at the gas station and 3 hours later saw some pretty cool stuff. Simply amazing. The mail box was awsome, as were all the other attractions. Even hot dome candy and ice cream to snack on. Bring your walking shoes plenty to see. Plenty of parking. All sites are handicapped friendly, so is parking. Loved this place. Also they have public restrooms by the mailbox. Handicapped friendly also. Very clean."
