"We were so disappointed in the cleanliness and catering provided by the retreat staff. We paid specifically for a caterer, but instead the camp staff couple cooked the meal themselves and it was hardly edible. This was our second year. The difference from one year to the next was amazing. In 2019, everything was spotless and the catered meals were wonderful. In 2021, we noticed the difference in the cleanliness of the lodge immediately. We had to clean everything before we could use it. The stairs had so much dirt, it was visible and treacherous. Showers with no shower heads. The list goes on and on. We loved it so the first year. I tried to reach out to the retreat board, but did not get a response. Really hate to write this because it could be so wonderful with a little care."

"We took a group of 50 for our fall retreat, and it was fantastic. The facility was very well kept, clean, and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to work with us, and make sure we had everything we needed. They took care of the little things as well like making sure the fire pit was lit with s'mores out at the appointed time, having coffee available for adults throughout our time, etc. All things we had planned on taking care of ourselves, but ended up not needing to. Very hospitable. We'll definitely be back!"

"We recently hosted a group of about 40 people for a weekend retreat here. Absolutely loved the facility and grounds. Having used several retreat centers in Indiana, this quickly climbed to the top of the list. Clean facilities, plenty of room, great setting, and the service was excellent. Our group was constantly checked up on and taken care. We even had a few unplanned, last minute requests that were met no problem by the staff. Highly recommend this place to any group."

"We had a men's retreat at their lodge. There were about 20 of us in all. With it being in January, most of our activities were inside. We kept a fire going in the fireplace and made use of their game room. Ping pong, air hockey, pool table and carpet ball. We cooked four meals in their kitchen. Everything worked great! There is some nice hiking trails around the camp and I know there are plans for continued improvements. If you're looking for a place to unplug, you'll find a lot of peace and quiet and a very accommodating staff at Walnut Ridge!"
