"Look so first off the internet says this place is 5 bucks per carload, period! Without knowing any different we took our Littles and my 11yo son to go swim and play in the sand only to find out that it is $3 @ the gate but you also have to buy a membership that cost $10 for every adult and child over 6yo so essentially the first trip there is $33 for 2 adults and one child over 6yo and 2 babies. The drive way back was hardly even a driveway, the place reminded me of a super old campground that sits along the river in the middle of nowhere. Not very well marked. Once you get to the lake the swim area is extremely small, plenty of sand to play on but not much swim area. The water that didn't have algae or moss floating about was clear I have to say however the majority of the lake is very shallow and moss and algae covered. There were numerous flocks of geese scattered around this small lake and the moss had lots of feathers strewn around. Also the sand had its share of Goose tootsie rolls all over. Not exactly the cleanest place to take them swimming and def not sure its worth the $$. Maybe in its hay day it was a nice place but it really needs an overhaul bad Update: after taking the kids the one time there and paying over $30 for our "memberships"!, we literally never went back. I cannot express enough how badly rundown and just unclean the place was! Not a good swim option for small kids to be honest"

"I spent many summers here with Katelyn & Barbara growing up. Some of the best memories I have was being here. Everyone loved everyone. The dance parties, bingo games, golf cart parades everything. Bittersweet. I hope to get myself a cabin here for my kids to enjoy this place as well."
